Tiffany Stratton to finally cash in, major swerve to prevent title change? - 4 possible finishes for Nia Jax vs. Naomi on WWE SmackDown next week
WWE Friday Night SmackDown aired last night on the USA Network and it featured a lot of storytelling and good news for the women's division. This includes two matches, segments, and a major announcement.
Bayley and Candice LeRae went one-on-one early in the night. Later on, Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton took on the Women's Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill. Additionally, Nick Aldis revealed the Women's United States Championship will soon debut.
Things don't look to be slowing down any time soon. However, a big match has been announced for next week. Nia Jax will defend her World Title against Naomi in a singles match. This comes after Naomi picked up a controversial win over the champion a few weeks ago.
What will happen when the real-life family members go one-on-one for the gold on Friday Night SmackDown next week? Will a certain Money in the Bank winner cash in? Could a different star swerve fans and interfere? This article will take a look at a handful of possible finishes for the upcoming bout.
Below are four endings for Nia Jax vs. Naomi on WWE SmackDown next week.
#4. Nia Jax could win clean on WWE SmackDown
Nia Jax has truly been an Irresistible Force since coming back to WWE. During her previous run, Nia held the Women's Tag Team Titles and the RAW Women's Championship. Despite that, most would likely tell you it was a disappointing run on the main roster.
However, since returning to World Wrestling Entertainment under Triple H, Jax has been anything but disappointing. She is the 2024 Queen of the Ring and the reigning WWE Women's Champion. She has also been putting on shockingly great matches with the likes of Lyra Valkyria, Bianca Belair, Becky Lynch, and others.
The truth is, Nia is seemingly unstoppable given there is no interference or distractions. As a result, Jax vs. Naomi next week could be a massacre for The Queen of Glow. If the champ hits the Annihilator, it will be lights out for Naomi.
#3. Naomi could win her first World Title in years
Naomi is an extremely charismatic and talented veteran in WWE. She first joined the Sports Entertainment Juggernaut's main roster after competing on the contest-version of NXT and went on to become a mainstay for years.
During her time in WWE, The Glow has managed to win some big-time bouts and titles. She has won a Women's WrestleMania Battle Royal, the Women's Tag Team Titles, and even the SmackDown Women's Championship. Still, it has been years since Naomi has held a World Title.
Come SmackDown, that could change. Naomi could shock the world by defeating Nia Jax for a second time, this time winning the gold. If she hits The Rear View and then a Split-Legged Moonsault, Naomi could very well leave as the New WWE Women's Champion.
#2. Tiffany Stratton could cash in mid-match and win the title
Tiffany Stratton has a golden ticket. She won the prized Women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match earlier this year, which has earned her a guaranteed title opportunity for any time in WWE on any brand for up to one year.
For months now, Tiffany has been aligned with Nia Jax. Despite being a unit, Nia has been paranoid that The Buff Barbie will use the Money in the Bank briefcase to win the WWE Women's Title. She's regularly been pushing Stratton to go for Liv Morgan's Women's World Title instead.
Fans have been waiting for Tiffany to cash in and she might finally do so next week. She could use her briefcase to enter the bout, thus turning it into a Triple Threat Match. From there, she could wallop Nia with the briefcase, letting out months and weeks of frustration, before hitting The Prettiest Moonsault Ever and winning the bout and the title.
#1. Candice LeRae could help Jax retain, further developing their relationship
Candice LeRae has long been one of WWE's most underrated performers. She struggled to get screen time for much of her run but has recently begun to be featured prominently. She is the current Women's Speed Champion.
In what could be a fun swerve, instead of it being Tiffany Stratton who helps Nia Jax retain the WWE Women's Title, it could be Candice. LeRae could show up during chaos and attack Naomi from behind, perhaps nailing a Lionsault.
The best route would be for Tiffany and Nia to seemingly be ready to blow up when Candice shows up and saves the day. This swerve could lead to Nia eventually choosing The Poison Pixie over Tiffany, formally making Stratton a babyface. Candice and Nia could thus become a formidable duo on SmackDown.
