Time to play The Game; punishing a former champion - 5 Things that must happen on the season premiere of WWE RAW
WWE will try to pull out all of the stops to make the season premiere of RAW one of the most memorable shows in recent history. Four stars will battle it out for the right to challenge Bron Breakker for the Intercontinental Championship. Jey Uso, Pete Dunne, Braun Strowman, and Ilja Dragunov will face off in a Fatal Four-Way match.
Dominik Mysterio will battle his rival, Dragon Lee, while WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart will return. With so much spotlight on the season premiere, the next five things must happen on RAW.
#5. Triple H could make impactful appearance
Since WrestleMania 40, The Game has appeared a few times on RAW and SmackDown. He brought new tag team titles to both shows after the Undisputed Tag Team Championships were split at The Show of Shows.
Triple H also appears on the Kickoff shows for every premium live event in the New Era. Due to his spot as the Chief Content Officer and Head of Creative, The King of Kings must show up on the season premiere of RAW.
Triple H could make a huge announcement about a future show, announce a newly signed free agent, or deliver harsh justice to Drew McIntyre.
#4. Bret Hart has a significant role
With the season premiere taking place in Calgary, Alberta, WWE announced that Legend Bret 'The Hitman' Hart will appear. Hart is one of the greatest stars of all time and hasn't appeared in some time.
Simply having Hart on RAW to say "Hi" before walking away won't suffice. The Hitman must have an in-ring segment or promo. During it, a cocky young star like Bron Breakker can confront him and threaten physical violence.
That can lead to a face like Ilja Dragunov, Jey Uso, Braun Strowman, or another name coming to the rescue of The Excellence of Execution.
#3. A shock debut or return could happen
To make a huge impact on any wrestling show, having a surprise return from a missing star can provide a lasting moment for fans. If ready, someone like Alexa Bliss or Raquel Rodriguez could return to RAW to join the New Era.
Brock Lesnar could crash the season premiere to set something up with Gunther or another star. If he's signed with the company, Triple H could announce Penta El Zero Miedo as the newest member of the WWE roster.
Asuka could also re-enter the fray in the women's division, provided her knee injury isn't the type to keep her out for nearly a year. Omos could return to lay someone out. Becky Lynch or Seth Rollins could also make triumphant returns to RAW.
#2. Drew McIntyre faces some type of punishment
Drew McIntyre's last appearance in front of the WWE Universe involved a bloody assault on his hated enemy, CM Punk. The Scottish Warrior ruined Punk's victory speech and thwarted his Championship aspirations.
While officials tried to transport Punk from the arena on a stretcher, McIntyre continued his assault on The Best in the World. This wasn't the first time the former WWE Champion openly disobeyed and defied RAW General Manager Adam Pearce.
Pearce will most assuredly punish McIntyre in some fashion since he's scheduled to explain his actions. The GM could fine, suspend, or threaten termination if McIntyre doesn't fall in line. Pearce could even bring Triple H out since The Scottish Warrior wouldn't dare cross the boss.
#1. A new challenger emerges for Liv Morgan on RAW
If Rhea Ripley isn't getting the next shot at Liv Morgan, then her next challenger must emerge in some fashion on the season premiere of RAW. Morgan competed at the Bash in Berlin but hasn't defended her title since SummerSlam.
It seemed like Ripley would get her rematch at Bad Blood, but WWE teased an injury for The Eradicator. If the former Women's World Champion is hurt and their showdown postponed, who will get the next crack at Morgan?
Using the return of Alexa Bliss or another star could provide the Champion with an unexpected challenge. Pearce could also enact some sort of multi-woman match to decide her next opponent.
Becky Lynch could make her way back to the company after a few months off. Regardless of how it happens, Morgan must meet her next challenger on the season premiere of RAW.
