TNA News: Former TNA Knockout Velvet Sky admits her ambition to work for WWE
Former TNA wrestlers are shifting to WWE after the company went low on business. This has been a trend amongst the TNA wrestlers to part ways with the company in search of something better.
In this case, it’s WWE. Top stars like Sting, AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Eric Young, The Dudley Boyz have left the company with a hope to sign a better deal with the WWE than their previous employer. But there hasn’t been any news from the TNA Knockout’s division until now.
Velvet Sky, former TNA Knockouts Champion expressed her idea about working for the WWE. The veteran sees great scope for women wrestling on the bigger stage, showing interest in Bayley. In an interview with Sports Illustrated, she complimented the former NXT Divas champion on being fun to watch and her ability to connect with the crowd.
She also states that she began wrestling only to get into the WWE. Working up the ladder from local wrestling arenas to the decade long stay with TNA, her biggest ambition was to get a tryout to perform in the greatest wrestling promotion.
Being the former TNA Knockouts champion she feels that there is no glamour in the indy promotions, and has no regrets leaving the company as it was a business decision she had to make. She says she will miss the TNA family and the fans but she has to move ahead.
