With 2018 done for good, we step into 2019 for some fresh beginnings. 2018 was a great year for the wrestling fans as WWE delivered the goods which make them stand apart. Talking about the WWE, the year was truly memorable one filled with moments that will be talked about in the years to come.

From Triple H's iconic clash against The Undertaker to the return of Shawn Michaels, from the all-women PPV to an all women Royal Rumble, the company delivered and so did the Superstars.

WWE Superstars are adored worldwide for the risks they take and the level of intensity they display in order to give the fans a show worth watching. 2018 was no different as a number of WWE Superstars impressed and made this year a bold one in their CV.

While the company in total had a successful run, few people had a great run of their own. These superstars stood apart and thus found a place in this list.

#10 Asuka

2018 turned out to be tremendous for Asuka as she earned a call-up from NXT and then went on a rampant streak which included wins over the entire female roster.

Asuka won the first all-women Royal Rumble and earned a shot at the WWE Women's Championship at WrestleMania 34. The Empress of Tomorrow faced Charlotte Flair for the big prize at WrestleMania. Despite ending up on the losing side, Asuka gained appreciation from the WWE universe for her incredible in-ring attributes.

Ever since Asuka joined the main roster, she has bossed the division. The year ended well for the Empress of Tomorrow as she claimed her first WWE Women's championship in the first ever TLC women's match. Asuka defeated Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair in a historic bout.

Often acknowledged as one of the leading performers of the company, Asuka had one too many memorable matches in 2018 and it is fair to say ending the year as the SmackDown Women's Champion is exactly what was needed to justify the tremendous year Asuka had.
