What was WWE creative thinking?
No seriously, that's not hyperbole or a blanket statement for the sake of whining, it's a serious question after WWE's actions over the last couple of years. In fact, it's a question that is becoming harder and harder to answer as the weeks go on and WWE continues to make booking decisions that border on absolute lunacy.
Unfortunately for The WWE Universe, they have been forced to endure some of the worst storylines and storytelling in the company's history. Keeping titles off television for months, turning top talents into joke fodder, and getting overly personal, are only a few of the bad decisions which have angered fans to no end.
With that being said and WWE seemingly on a run of bad decisions right now, here are 5 disastrous booking decisions WWE has made, and why they angered fans. As always lets know your thoughts in the comments below, and be sure to tell us what you think of WWE's recent string of decisions.
#1 Refusing to push popular superstars
From the abysmal career Finn Balor has had on the main roster so far, to The AOP recently becoming joke fodder, WWE has a way of taking the piss out of popular superstars and turning them into absolute jokes. Beyond that, WWE might throw them a bone every once in awhile by putting them in a title match, but it almost always ends in a loss.
With that being said, and WWE continuing to do this with stars like Bobby Roode, Bobby Lashley, Shinsuke Nakamura, Sanity, Bayley, Sasha Banks, and Jinder Mahal, one has to wonder why the company keeps doing this. Furthermore, one has to wonder if the fan opinions matter all that much anymore
Maybe this is just whining and exaggerating, but it feels more and more like the superstars that are supposed to do great things in the company always get bogged down or straddled with crappy gimmicks they can never overcome. If nothing else, this really needs to change, and WWE really needs to embrace other talents as possible top guys.
