Top 5 Feuds for the WWE Women's Division

The main roster may have missed a huge deal with the ‘Divas Revolution’ but at WrestleMania it managed to take a giant leap. It stopped using the much vilified term ‘Diva’ for female performers (even though there is much to ponder when Beyonce defines a Diva as a ‘female word for a hustler’, a word that may be pre-conditioned as other things in history). But that move signalled that WWE is willing to move ahead with this new crop of female talent, viewing them as wrestlers, something beyond eye candy.

A new design for the women’s championship was introduced and we got probably the best women’s match in WrestleMania history.

Here are the 5 new feuds for the Women’s division -

  1. Lana Vs Paige
Lana knocks Paige to the mat repeatedly with roundhouse kicks during her in-ring debut.
Lana thinks she let Paige live after this kick

Lana may be ever so green to begin with as a wrestler and Paige may just be the most lost performer in the burgeoning Women’s division but this is what both have in common - they have some great presence, they can be quite intimidating characters.

One thing that should give rise to this feud is Lana’s recent interview with wwe.com. She had some determined words for her wrestling career and some scathing ones for Paige. She says that the one mistake she made in her team’s loss at Mania was that she let Paige live after delivering those vicious kicks.

These two can certainly work a promo. And if you’ve got the drama part right, you’ve got yourself a good deal. Stephanie McMahon is no in-ring technician; she’s still been part of some of the best women’s matches in history.
