Top babyface to betray Roman Reigns once again at SummerSlam & help Solo Sikoa win title? Exploring potential twist for The Bloodline
SummerSlam is set to take place on August 3, 2024, in Cleveland, Ohio and the biggest story revolving around the show is the potential return of Roman Reigns. The Tribal Chief has been absent since WrestleMania 40 where he lost the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship to Cody Rhodes. While Reigns is not advertised for The Biggest Party of The Summer, the belief is that he will be involved in the Sikoa vs. Rhodes match.
Solo Sikoa took over The Bloodline after Reigns' absence and threw out Paul Heyman and Jimmy Uso, replacing them with Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu. The 'new' Tribal Chief will get a shot at Cody Rhodes' Undisputed WWE Championship at SummerSlam. However, he is unlikely to win as The Head of the Table could return looking for retribution.
However, while fans think that Reigns will cost Sikoa, maybe the new Bloodline leader has an ace up his sleeve. After Roman Reigns returns and enters into a brawl with the faction during a potential referee bump scenario, Jey Uso could save his cousin Reigns against the new Bloodline.
Just when the fans think they are getting a reunion of the original Bloodline, Uso could turn around and superkick Reigns, betraying him once again and aligning with Solo. Jey Uso could help Sikoa win the Undisputed WWE Championship and explain that he still hasn't forgiven the former Bloodline leader for all that he did to him.
Reigns, Jimmy Uso, and Jey Uso were the original Bloodline. However, after months of demeaning and mental torture, The Usos turned on Reigns last year. While Jimmy later returned to the faction, Jey rejected the offer to return and joined RAW instead. The former Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champion is currently one of the top babyfaces on the red brand.
Roman Reigns' return to lead to Jacob Fatu's push?
In the latest episode of Sportskeeda Wrestling Smack Talk, Dutch Mantell mentioned that Jacob Fatu could play a crucial role in the rivalry between Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa. Mantell stated that Fatu's allegiance would come into question once Roman returns.
"I think [Jacob Fatu] will be the pawn between Roman [Reigns] and Solo [Sikoa]. He'll be the go-to guy and they will battle over him, over his allegiance and I think it will work. I do." [From 47:25 to 47:38]
With Solo Sikoa continuously looking to enlarge The Bloodline, he could convince his elder brother Jey Uso to return 'home' and help him become the new Tribal Chief. With Jacob Fatu and Jey Uso behind Sikoa, Reigns will have an uphill climb when he returns.
