Top champion's next challenger, star recently seen crying? - 4 feuds for WWE's signing Stephanie Vaquer following major brand tease

WWE has hired a handful of exciting prospects recently. The Japanese-Italian sensation Giulia is reportedly on her way to the promotion, as is the Australian powerhouse Delta.

Perhaps the most hyped-up and exciting new signing is Stephanie Vaquer. The former New Japan Pro-Wrestling and CMLL star, who recently competed on AEW television, has yet to debut on a specific brand, but she did compete in two house show matches against Isla Dawn in Mexico a week or so ago.

Fast forward to NXT last night, and while Stephanie did not appear, it became clear as to which brand she would be on. Lola Vice, Karmen Petrovic, and Sol Ruca were shown watching her match with Isla Dawn and discussing the intense and talented performer.

Now that her brand has been teased and possibly confirmed, it will be interesting to see who she feuds with first. This article will look at four names the former CMLL star could battle on NXT if she does indeed join the brand soon.

#4 She could challenge Roxanne Perez for the WWE NXT Women's Championship

Roxanne Perez is the future of WWE's women's division. At just 22, she has done more in the sports entertainment juggernaut than most can even aspire to do, and she's only in NXT.

The Prodigy is the reigning WWE NXT Women's Champion. This is her second reign with the title. She will be defending the belt against the young and skillful Thea Hail at the 2024 Great American Bash.

If Roxanne retains her gold, she could fight Stephanie Vaquer with the belt on the line. Roxanne is the top female star of the brand, so fighting and potentially defeating her would be huge for Stephanie's career.

#3 Lola Vice is rapidly rising through the ranks

Lola Vice is a popular WWE star currently signed to the NXT brand. Before joining World Wrestling Entertainment, Vice was a mixed martial artist and model. She uses her MMA background in her pro wrestling matches and is quickly gaining popularity.

The 26-year-old is currently being pushed on the white-and-gold brand. She was a heel for quite some time but recently turned babyface. Vice had quite the match with Roxanne Perez at WWE NXT Heatwave, although she came up short in what was a short yet emotional feud.

While Lola was recently seen crying on television, make no mistake, she is as tough as nails. As a result, she and Stephanie would surely have an extremely physical and entertaining rivalry.

#2 Sol Ruca is one of the best young stars on the brand

Sol Ruca is a remarkable athlete and she can do things in a WWE ring that nobody else seems capable of achieving. Realistically speaking, she is probably the most athletic performer in all of pro wrestling today and nearly everybody enjoys her matches.

While Lola Vice is on the upswing, so is Sol Ruca. Ruca notably had what was one of the most impressive and entertaining matches at WWE NXT's latest premium live event when she took on Kelani Jordan. They absolutely stole the show.

Sol did come up short in that bout, but her future is extremely bright. This could be a major test for the athletic marvel. Can she hang with an experienced veteran like Vaquer in what could be a series of exciting matches? For now, that remains to be seen, but it would be fascinating to see.

#1 Karmen Petrovic also studied Stephanie ahead of her arrival

Karmen Petrovic is another up-and-coming star in WWE NXT. Out of those mentioned, she is the least experienced but has become friendly with various veterans, including Michin and Natalya. Their endorsement means a lot to her career.

Notably, Karmen was also involved in the segment that featured herself, Lola Vice, and Sol Ruca checking out Stephanie's debut match at a WWE Live event. Karmen's inclusion was interesting, as she is still low on the totem pole compared to the others mentioned.

Despite that, Petrovic could be elevated in a big way by feuding with Stephanie. Alternatively, Shawn Michaels may see the talented performer as somebody who can take a loss or two from the incoming star without losing momentum.
