Top NXT superstar to move to the main roster at WWE Royal Rumble 2025? Exploring the possibility
With the Royal Rumble fast approaching, many fans have started to predict which WWE stars will show up in the marquee battle royal next year. Earlier this year, fans saw NXT stars in the form of Bron Breakker and Tiffany Stratton both make surprise appearances in the matchup, with the pair each becoming main roster stars in the weeks that followed.
With that in mind, one current NXT performer who could follow in their footsteps next year by appearing in the Rumble and then moving up to the main roster could be Trick Williams.
The 30-year-old is set to defend the NXT Championship at NXT New Year's Evil on January 7th against the winner of the Iron Survivor Challenge, Oba Femi, with many fans expecting the Nigerian star to dethrone Williams.
If that does indeed happen, then the most logical step to take next with Williams would be for him to move up to either RAW or SmackDown, with the Royal Rumble being the perfect place for him to make his official main roster debut.
Trick Williams wants to face one of WWE's biggest stars
While Trick Williams has yet to make his move to RAW or SmackDown, the two-time NXT Champion already has some big names on his list when it comes to potential opponents on WWE's main roster.
During a recent interview on the No-Contest Wrestling podcast, Trick Williams revealed which big star he'd like to go one-on-one with.
"Of course, the top guy in the business, I'd say, with or without a title right now [is] Roman Reigns. He's the guy, and if you're here in this business and you don't want to line up across from him, then you don't really want to be the guy." [H/T: Wrestling Inc]
Having carried the NXT banner for well over a year, Trick Williams is more than ready for the bright lights of WWE's main roster, and with the power and charisma to back it up, a match against stars like Roman Reigns certainly seems possible.
