Top rivalry to bring Roman Reigns back, RAW faction implodes & more - 4 feuds teased at WWE Clash at the Castle 2024
WWE Clash at the Castle 2024 was a highly eventful but somewhat polarizing show. The first-ever premium live event held in Scotland featured multiple hometown stars, a title change, and more memorable moments. The card presented at OVO Hydro arena brought multiple feuds to a flourishing close, while others were furthered.
That was not all, however, as Glasgow also witnessed the potential beginnings of several future storylines. The historic event planted the seeds from which a number of rivalries seem destined to sprout. Some of these feuds seem imminent, while others appear to be teased for later.
Here are four compelling feuds teased at WWE Clash at the Castle 2024:
#4. Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair's shocking title loss may have sown the seeds for a WWE SummerSlam feud
For 42 days, Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair brushed aside challengers for their WWE Women's Tag Team Titles with barely a sweat broken. The duo, already arguably the two strongest individuals in the women's division, were beginning to hit their stride as a team, showing a growing chemistry.
They seemed on track to become the most dominant Women's Tag Team Champions in history, until Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn stopped them in their tracks. Neither Belair nor Cargill was pinned in the loss, but it was nonetheless the first crack in their partnership and a big one at that. For two such alpha females not used to losing, defeat may lead to blame being turned towards each other.
Fans thought such a split would come much later, leading to a WrestleMania 41 dream match, but Triple H and Co. may have expedited it to SummerSlam. It only remains to be seen if they will bounce back stronger or fall apart altogether.
#3. WWE Clash at the Castle 2024 continued to tease Otis's inevitable split from Chad Gable
The saga between Chad Gable, Sami Zayn, and the rest of the Alpha Academy has been raging for months now. Since taking on a more sinister persona, Master Gable has subjected his stablemates to increasingly harsh treatment, eliciting loud negative fan reactions. Otis, in particular, has been caught in the middle of the drama, repeatedly finding himself torn between Gable and Zayn.
Clash at the Castle: Scotland provided the latest chapter in this story, with The Number One Guy choosing to walk away with a fallen Maxxine Dupri in his arms. This was yet another tease of the impending split between master and apprentice, leaving fans speculating when the trigger will be pulled. After the events in OVO Hydro, it seems closer than ever.
#2 & #1. WWE Clash at the Castle 2024 teased two future opponents for Cody Rhodes... and a Roman Reigns return?
After Cody Rhodes' gritty victory over AJ Styles at Clash at the Castle 2024, The American Nightmare was confronted by Solo Sikoa. The Tribal Heir's goons, Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa then attacked Rhodes, prompting Kevin Owens and Randy Orton to even the odds by saving the Undisputed WWE Champion.
This teased Sikoa as the next challenger for the first man to pin him on the main roster, raising speculation about Roman Reigns potentially returning to confront Solo for his recent actions during hiatus. That was not all, however, with eagle-eyed fans believing they noticed Randy Orton's suspicious glances towards his former protege's title.
If the speculation is correct, Triple H and his team may have teased Cody Rhodes vs. Solo Sikoa at Money in the Bank, Rhodes vs. Orton, and possibly Reigns vs. Sikoa at SummerSlam in one brawling segment.
