Top stable to splinter off into groups, major title change? - 4 predictions for The Judgment Day following WWE Crown Jewel
WWE Crown Jewel aired this past Saturday live from Saudi Arabia. The show was stacked, as it featured the original Bloodline reuniting, Cody Rhodes vs. Gunther to determine the first-ever Crown Jewel Champion, and much more.
One of the more interesting outcomes from the show saw Liv Morgan defeat Nia Jax. The two world champions clashed to determine the first-ever Women's Crown Jewel Champion, a historic moment for The Miracle Kid. Notably, she had some help from Dominik Mysterio and Raquel Rodriguez.
In addition to Liv's success, Finn Balor and JD McDonagh currently hold gold. Additionally, Dominik Mysterio is looking to win his first world title. Carlito is also part of the group, and collectively, they want to take over.
This article will take a look at a handful of predictions for the stable following Crown Jewel. This will look at the results of the event, but also recent incidents that could lead to some intriguing moments down the line.
Below are four predictions for The Judgment Day following WWE Crown Jewel.
#4. Finn Balor may snap on Dominik Mysterio for chasing the World Heavyweight Championship
As noted, Dominik Mysterio has championship aspirations. The talented star is no stranger to gold, however. He is a two-time NXT North American Champion and even held the SmackDown Tag Team Titles alongside his legendary father Rey Mysterio.
However, the hated WWE star now has his eyes set on a bigger prize: the World Heavyweight Championship. Dominik is hoping to challenge Gunther for the prized title, which could prove to be a bad move. Not only will Gunther destroy him, but it may cause a fellow Judgment Day member to snap.
Finn Balor has made it clear he wants to become world champion again. It led to issues with Damian Priest and it might lead to The Prince snapping on Dirty Dom. It could simply be a verbal attack, but there is always a chance that Finn assaults his Judgment Day brother for daring to go after the gold he deems his.
#3. Raquel Rodriguez, Liv Morgan, and Dirty Dom might go their own way
This new version of The Judgment Day is quite interesting. At SummerSlam, Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest were kicked out of the WWE faction. This led to Liv Morgan, Carlito, and later Raquel Rodriguez joining Finn Balor, JD McDonagh, and Dirty Dom as official stable members.
Despite being united, there are clearly factions within the faction. Finn Balor and JD McDonagh are typically together, while Raquel, Liv, and Dominik are often on their own. Carlito is more of a floater and often does his own thing.
With how The Judgment Day has been cratered, it is likely that sooner or later the two main factions will split off into their own groups. Raquel, Liv, and Dom will leave the stable to do their own thing, thus leaving Finn, JD, and maybe Carlito to pick up the pieces.
#2. Carlito could be kicked out of the WWE faction
Speaking of Carlito, the former WWE United States Champion returned to the company in an official capacity last year. He did so as a member of The Latino World Order but went on to betray the group.
Shortly after doing so, he began hanging around The Judgment Day, primarily for protection. While Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest didn't seem to like him very much, he became a member of the WWE stable afterward.
Despite that, Carlito still doesn't seem to be liked. Raquel Rodriguez notably isn't fond of the former champion and Finn Balor has had to give the man grief too. It seems evident that he doesn't quite fit in with the bad attitudes of the group. Given that, Carlito being kicked out of the stable feels inevitable.
#1. Finn Balor and JD McDonagh might lose the World Tag Team Titles to The War Raiders
While there seems to be trouble underneath the surface within The Judgment Day, there is no denying how successful the WWE stable is right now. Liv Morgan is the Women's World Champion and the duo of Finn Balor and JD McDonagh are the World Tag Team Champions.
Unfortunately, Finn and JD haven't exactly defended their titles very often. Their reign has been lackluster, but it could soon be coming to an end thanks to Erik and Ivar of The War Raiders becoming number one contenders.
Erik and Ivar are riding a wave of momentum and Finn is seemingly still hung up on becoming World Heavyweight Champion. The War Raiders dethroning The Prince and The Irish Ace could happen sooner than fans expect.
