Top WWE championship to be vacated, Roman Reigns stretchered out after being attacked? - 3 directions for The Bloodline after SummerSlam

Roman Reigns made a surprise return at WWE SummerSlam 2024 and helped Cody Rhodes retain his Undisputed WWE Championship in a Bloodline Rules match. The showdown between Rhodes and Solo Sikoa was a modern twist on The American Nightmare's legendary rivalry with Reigns.

This time around, Solo Sikoa took over the faction and declared himself The Tribal Chief. However, the original leader of The Bloodline came back to stop his bid for the championship.

Currently, there is much to anticipate. What lies ahead for Solo Sikoa and his associates? What will be the next step for the former Undisputed WWE Universal Champion following his return? Here are three potential directions for The Bloodline in the aftermath of SummerSlam:

#3. Roman Reigns is stretchered out after being attacked by The Rock in the upcoming episode of SmackDown

The Original Tribal Chief made his triumphant return at the 2024 SummerSlam Premium Live Event last Saturday.

The former Enforcer of the faction may face repercussions for taking advantage of Reigns' allies during his absence. In the upcoming SmackDown, Roman might confront Sikoa to remove him from the faction, but this confrontation could be interrupted by none other than The Rock.

The Rock might advise Reigns to resolve the situation and make amends with his ex-Enforcer, but then unexpectedly launch a vicious attack on his cousin, leaving Roman Reigns incapacitated and needing to be carried out on a stretcher. The Final Boss could then confess that he was the mastermind pulling the strings all along, manipulating Sikoa to do what he did.

#2. Tama Tonga and Jacob Fatu vacate the WWE Tag Team Championship

Jacob Fatu has been dominating ever since he joined WWE in June. Not only did he win the WWE Tag Team Championship on SmackDown last Friday, but he also made a statement at SummerSlam by putting Cody Rhodes through the announce table.

However, The Samoan Werewolf appeared to have injured himself following the assault on The American Nightmare, as he was seen holding onto his ankle. WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H mentioned during the SummerSlam post-show press conference that Fatu sustained some minor injuries but didn't elaborate further.

However, if the injury sustained by the 32-year-old is severe, his absence could significantly impact the tag team title scene on SmackDown. In the event of a serious injury, he might be required to relinquish the championship.

#1. Jacob Fatu is replaced by Hikuleo

The Bloodline Saga is shaping up to be exciting, and it seems like Fatu was set to play a big role in this Roman Reigns and the new Bloodline angle.

If Fatu is not around for a while, Triple H might decide to bring in Hikuleo to fill in for him in the group. The former NJPW star and Haku's son reportedly signed with WWE and could make his debut soon and join the Solo-led Bloodline. A potential Civil War storyline between the original group led by Roman Reigns and the new Bloodline at Survivor Series 2024 could lay the groundwork for a monumental family rivalry in the realm of sports entertainment.
