WWE Tough Enough recap(8/18), Who went home, details on next week's finale
Following is the recap of the 8/18 episode of WWE Tough Enough. Renee Young and Chris Jericho introduce Daniel Bryan, Paige and the Miz. Paige announces that the males will all be in tonight's bottom three. Tonight’s show saw the cast narrowed down to the final four, as Tanner ended up getting eliminated from the competion. Tanner earlier had voiced his displeasure with ZZ still being around because he's lazy. ZZ says he hasn't won anything, but he hasn't lost everything. Meanwhile Amanda is planting seeds of doubt in Sara's head, which doesn't really matter when it's down to a fan vote.
The cast is assigned finishers, and Sara Lee is given an armbar, wherein she outperforms Lita, who demonstrated it. Tanner is given a cross body off the top rope, but needs to work on his facial expressions. Josh not being happy with a running powerslam asks if he can have a powerbomb as a finisher, but the trainers stand firm on their opinion. Amanda is given the BoDog, and does it well. ZZ gets a flapjack and a Gator Grip, which is a modified chinlock. Josh and Tanner are frustrated with ZZ's success, considering he hasn't put in the work.
Tanner claims he has plenty of charisma, but admits he needs to work on his facial expressions. Sara pledges to improve herself, while Amanda says she was playing a role when she was teasing Sara. Josh says his daughter is the most important thing to him and says he’s here to sauce it out. The results come in. Tanner is gone, with only 20 percent of the vote. Josh had 46 percent and ZZ had 34 percent. Tanner says that he'll still pursue WWE, indicating his WWE dream isn’t over yet. Daniel Bryan says he trusts the WWE Universe , and doesn't use his save. Next week’s Tough Enough “grand finale” will feature the final four contestants competing in live wrestling matches on the show. Sara versus Amanda and Josh versus ZZ will take place on next week’s show; host Chris Jericho noted the competitors will work on entrances and match run-throughs this week.
