Tribute to the Troops spoilers
Tribute to the troops is an annual event that WWE universe celebrates with the Armed Forces around December. This has been done since 2003, as a way of honouring the men and Women of the United States serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. Certain selected WWE superstars visit them and their families. They are there in their Base camps for atleast 3 days. WWE then holds a special wrestling show with the troop members in attendance for free. The show features matches involving selected Superstars and Divas from both Raw and Smackdown. The company then airs the matches, as well as videos highlighting their interaction with the members of the military, in a special televised program of the same title.
The idea of honoring and entertaining the American troops in Iraq and Afghanistan is credited to wrestler John Bradshaw Layfield, who suggested it to WWE Chairman Vince McMahon. On the 9th of December, there was a segment involving none other than the former legend and the current face, Hulk Hogan and John Cena respectively. Jack Swagger also had something to offer on the plate. Dean Ambrose defeated Bray Wyatt in a No DQ Bootcamp Match. They brawled and Ambrose destroyed Wyatt with weapons.
It was truly a memorable night to be remembered.
