Triple H to bring back Brock Lesnar; punish former champion for breaking rule? -3 ways Kevin Owens could be penalized on SmackDown
Brock Lesnar has been away from WWE due to some serious allegations. However, the WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H might bring him back to the company in order to take down former Universal Champion Kevin Owens.
After the Bad Blood Premium Live Event, Owens didn’t hold back and went after Cody Rhodes backstage when the cameras were off. He then made a surprise appearance on the latest episode of SmackDown despite being suspended and stirred up a lot of trouble. Randy Orton tried to step in and cool things down, but they ended up having a brief scuffle, which led The Prizefighter to take his aggression out on The Legend Killer backstage.
These actions might have some repercussions. What’s ahead for the 40-year-old in the next few weeks? Here are three possible ways he could face consequences:
#3. Triple H brings back Brock Lesnar to teach him a lesson
Triple H might bring Brock Lesnar back after over a year to teach Owens what respect means. The Game might kick off the next episode of SmackDown by summoning KO to the ring. He could assert that actions like those demand repercussions. Following that, Hunter could reveal that he reached out to a former World Champion to teach Owens a lesson.
In the coming weeks, the champion could be revealed as none other than Brock Lesnar. The 47-year-old powerhouse last appeared at SummerSlam 2023, where he battled Cody Rhodes but ultimately fell short. Since that event, he has been notably absent, reportedly due to his name surfacing in a lawsuit involving Vince McMahon.
The WWE CCO previously gave hints about Brock Lesnar returning. This could finally be the time The Beast Incarnate comes back.
#2. Nick Aldis fires Owens
As mentioned above, the former Universal Champion attacked The American Nightmare right after Bad Blood. He got hit with a fine and a suspension, but even with that, he still showed up to SmackDown to stir up more trouble.
Kevin Owens has been straight-up ignoring the rules and defying orders, which could set the stage for Nick Aldis to give him the boot. KO might take some time off and then make a surprise comeback later this year, either to pick up his rivalry with The American Nightmare or start something new with The SmackDown General Manager.
#1. The SmackDown GM pits KO in a One vs. All match against The Bloodline
Aldis might say that the perfect way to get back at someone like Owens is to throw him into a match with a faction he despises. The 40-year-old likely went after Rhodes because of his recent alliance with Roman Reigns.
Owens could be booked in a four vs. one handicap match against Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa, and Jacob Fatu. This matchup could serve as a direct response to Owens' actions, allowing The Bloodline to unleash their fury. As the four superstars work together to dominate him, the odds would be heavily stacked against Owens, ensuring a relentless and penalizing encounter.
