A feud with HHH would be 'best for business' for Daniel Bryan
The countdown to WrestleMania 30 has well and truly begun. The top card at the ‘Grandest Stage of them All’ has mostly been announced and wrestling fanatics all over the world are gearing up of the biggest PPV of the calendar.
Currently two matches have been set up on the WrestleMania 30 card. Unless there are any last minute changes the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton is set to defend his championship against the Animal, Batista. And the beast incarnate, Brock Lesner is set to challenge the Undertaker’s streak of 21-0.
That leaves us with the fan favorite Daniel Bryan who has been repeatedly denied a chance to keep the championship since Summer Slam. Whom will he face at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana?
In recent time, the WWE universe have been left frustrated with the storylines created for Bryan. The superstar wasn’t involved in the 30-man Royal Rumble last month which led to much criticism and uproar from most of the fans. Bryan was denied the chance of headlining the main event at Mania in the Elimination Chamber PPV when the director of operations Kane interfered in his Chamber match. The authority comprising of Triple H and Stephanie have repeatedly screwed with Bryan and have tried to and mostly succeeded in costly him with important matches. They have played perfect heels to the goat faced athlete.
Since the start of the Authority storyline, Bryan has been involved as the top rebel and having a match with Game would only do good to the career of Daniel Bryan. This would help Bryan more than a match with Randy Orton, something which he has been done repeatedly in the past. Or a match with Batista who is himself struggling to get over since his return.
Bryan does not need a championship to prove himself, he needs to put the ghost of the authority behind him and move on. And a win over triple H would more or less do just that for him.
Triple H may now be a semi-retired wrestler, but fans still look forward to see him in the ring. He is still a great heel. The WWE creative may be onto a winner if they let Triple H and Bryan go head-to-head at WrestleMania 30.
On last week’s Raw, Bryan did challenge Triple H to a match on April 6. HHH however, in character as a heel, belittled Daniel Bryan and refused outright to the offer. However, with Daniel Bryan dispatching Kane in that very night and further strengthening his case, it does look more like a matter of time before Bryan gets the opportunity to face the king of Kings at WrestleMania this year.
And all of a sudden, a card that reads Daniel Bryan versus Triple H looks even more exciting for wrestling fans. It is a battle which helps strengthens the top card and is also having a lot of history. Considering that the storyline ran through the whole summer, it would not be difficult to build up the match in the remaining four weeks.
Moreover this battle must come to an end at WrestleMania. Daniel Bryan can accomplish a lot through a single win. It would turn over the whole story of him being denied repeatedly. And it will be sweet revenge for Daniel Bryan if he does indeed win. Triple H would not look bad in the loss against the most popular star on the roster at present. Both of them are technically brilliant and thus the match would most definitely be great watch in that aspect too.
Surely Triple H would put Daniel Bryan over in the WrestleMania match if that match were to happen? Or do you think the yes movement leader would be once again be denied of the spotlight by the Authority? Or will there be some other match for both the wrestlers? Please do comment your views about the same.
