Triple H to change plans for Cody Rhodes vs. Solo Sikoa at SummerSlam, shock betrayal? 6 things Randy Orton can do on WWE SmackDown this week

The loss of the team of Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens, and Randy Orton to The Bloodline’s new Tribal Chief, Solo Sikoa, came as a shock to fans. Amidst the feud with the heel faction, the Undisputed WWE Champion may want to check on one of his formidable allies, as Randy Orton could be turning on him at some point.

During this year’s Clash at the Castle, Orton was seen eyeing Rhodes’ championship title, which was also noticed in an episode of SmackDown. As WWE hints at an Orton heel turn, here are some things The Viper might do during this week’s edition of The Blue Brand.

#6. Cody, Randy, and KO addressing their MITB loss on this week’s SmackDown

Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, and Kevin Owens’ loss against The Bloodline at this year’s Money in the Bank disappointed most fans. Their team was on the verge of capturing that huge win over the heel faction when one of the collective’s members – Jacob Fatu, appeared out of nowhere and turned the tide in their favor.

With that in mind, they could likely cut a promo during this week’s episode of SmackDown addressing the above-mentioned.

#5. The three of them interrupt The Bloodline, resulting in a brawl

Things might go the other way around as The Bloodline could be the ones doing a promo. This time around, though, it’s Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, and Kevin Owens who will be spoiling their celebration.

If such a scenario goes down, the probability of these two going at it again is very high. At this point, it seems that an end to this feud is nowhere in sight and might go well beyond the upcoming SummerSlam PLE.

#4. Taking out either Solo Sikoa or Kevin Owens

Randy Orton could finally mobilize whatever he is planning and kick it off by attacking Kevin Owens or The Bloodline’s Solo Sikoa. It is believed that WWE Head of Creative Paul Levesque (Triple H) will book Rhodes vs Sikoa at this year’s SummerSlam.

If that is the case, Orton could take out the self-proclaimed Bloodline spearhead, rendering him unable to compete for the aforementioned PLE. This could be a daunting task for The Viper, though, since Sikoa is guarded by his vicious family members.

With that in mind, he could be taking out KO instead if he senses that Owens also has aspirations of capturing that championship gold.

#3. A backstage segment hinting at his heel turn

Fans might still see The Viper hinting at his heel turn during this week’s edition of SmackDown. This time, however, he could be doing more than just eyeing Cody Rhodes’ undisputed championship belt.

He could be having a heated conversation with either Rhodes or Owens as they assess their MITB match against The Bloodline. Another is a spot where he vents out his frustrations to any WWE Superstar he meets backstage.

#2. Randy Orton telling Cody Rhodes that he wants the belt on his face

Randy Orton could just go ahead and be blunt about it and tell Cody Rhodes that he, too, wants the belt, and he would do anything to take it away from The American Nightmare.

As mentioned, a heel Orton is on the horizon as fans are just waiting for The Viper to reveal his intent. That said, things might likely go down during this week’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown.

#1. Attacking Cody Rhodes, making his heel turn official

The above-mentioned entry could also have an explosive iteration where Randy Orton attacks Cody Rhodes, making his heel turn official. This could be carried out by scheduling them (Rhodes, Orton, and KO) in a match, and Orton blindsides the champ after the fight.

It has been a while since Orton’s last heel turn, and fans who love that version of The Viper will certainly be delighted if that happens.

It is also worth noting that this year’s SummerSlam PLE is just weeks away, and if Triple H decides to tweak the match involving Rhodes at The Biggest Party of the Summer, now is the time to do so. This is to establish and build up the storyline between Rhodes and Orton leading to SummerSlam.
