Triple H to confirm controversial star is banned; punishment threat to WWE icon? 5 Things The Game can do if he appears on SmackDown
WWE Friday Night SmackDown will be airing later tonight on the USA Network. The show will be a big one, as over 10,000 fans are expected to be in attendance at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
So far, a few major matches have been announced for the show. United States Champion LA Knight will be the guest referee for "Game 7" of Carmelo Hayes vs. Andrade, plus The Motor City Machine Guns will take on DIY.
Given how big the show is, many big stars of the blue brand will likely be in attendance. There is also a strong chance that Triple H will appear in some fashion, as the legend is always down to appear in front of fans.
If Triple H does show up on the SmackDown presentation, what might he do? This article will look at a handful of possible things The Game might do if he were to appear on tonight's show.
Below are five things Triple H can do if he appears on WWE SmackDown.
#5. He could confirm Kevin Owens will remain suspended
Kevin Owens is the talk of WWE. After years of battling The Bloodline, Kevin has lost his mind and seemingly turned heel thanks to a friend of his uniting with Roman Reigns, albeit just for one big-time show.
Cody Rhodes and Roman teamed up at Bad Blood to take on Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu. A furious Kevin Owens was not happy about what he saw as his friend's betrayal and thus proceeded to attack Cody after the show ended. Kevin was then suspended.
Despite being suspended, Owens has shown up on television multiple times. Triple H could announce on SmackDown that The Prizefighter will remain suspended, perhaps even adding more time away thanks to his actions since then.
#4. Triple H could threaten to punish Randy Orton if he doesn't drop the Kevin Owens stuff
Cody Rhodes isn't the only one to become a victim of Kevin Owens. Throughout the past year, the former Universal Champion has been teaming up with Randy Orton. The two have been known as R-KO to WWE fans and they were adored.
Thanks to the Cody drama, Owens ended up turning on Randy Orton too, beating The Viper down outside when he was meant to be suspended. In turn, The Viper asked WWE SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis for a match with Kevin, but he was told no and that it was a ruling from above.
Triple H could be the one calling the shots and doesn't want Orton and Owens to clash. As a result, The Game could tell his former Evolution stablemate to stay away from the Kevin Owens stuff and instead let whatever happens to Owens actually happen without shoehorning himself into it.
#3. The Game could have a promo with Cody Rhodes to hype up WWE Crown Jewel
WWE Crown Jewel is the company's next premium live event. The big show will be headlined by two matches featuring world champions clashing. Gunther will take on Cody Rhodes and Nia Jax will battle Liv Morgan.
The Ring General and The American Nightmare will clash to determine the first-ever Crown Jewel Champion and Triple H was the one who revealed the belt at Bad Blood. As a result, he clearly has a vested interest in the match.
To hype up the show, Triple H and Cody could have a promo together. It might happen in the ring or backstage, but The Game could emphasize the importance of becoming the number one champion in all of WWE.
#2. He could announce a big Women's Tag Team Title match
The WWE Women's Tag Team Championship scene has never been stronger. The current champions are Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill, but the two have issues with teams from RAW, SmackDown, and even NXT.
From Monday Night RAW, Damage CTRL's IYO SKY and Kairi Sane want the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions. Meanwhile, NXT's Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson want the gold. Lastly, Piper Niven and Chelsea Green from SmackDown keep getting themselves involved too.
As a result, The Game could announce a massive Fatal Four-Way Women's Tag Team Match. All four teams could clash over the gold, perhaps at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia. Which team will prove to be best? Triple H might want to find out.
#1. Triple H could meet with Nick Aldis regarding Kevin Owens and Randy Orton
As noted, Nick Aldis essentially told Randy Orton that his hands were tied and he couldn't make a match between The Viper and Kevin Owens at WWE Crown Jewel like Randy wanted. Come SmackDown, that could change.
Triple H could show up to the blue brand to have a meeting with the SmackDown General Manager. Aldis could lay out why he thinks Kevin Owens vs. Randy Orton in Saudi Arabia is a good idea and Triple H could offer his opinion as to why it might not be.
In the end, Triple H could let up and allow for the match to happen. Alternatively, Nick could lose the conversation and The Game's wishes will be respected moving forward. Regardless, it could open up the chance for either Orton or Owens to crash the meeting, which may be extremely entertaining to witness.
