Triple H may have already made a HUGE mistake for WWE Bad Blood on SmackDown

Triple H delivered a truly unforgettable SmackDown Season Premiere this week, packed with surprises and compelling segments. One of the night's biggest highlights was the electrifying return of Roman Reigns. In a surprising turn of events, Reigns and Cody Rhodes signed a contract for a tag team match against the Bloodline at Bad Blood 2024, despite their ongoing rivalry.

However, amidst all the excitement, it seems that The Game may have made a crucial misstep for the upcoming premium live event by pairing Reigns and Rhodes together.

Cody Rhodes earlier rejected to be in the corner with Roman Reigns

One of the most confusing aspects for fans was that The American Nightmare had initially refused to partner with Roman Reigns for Bad Blood during a backstage segment with Nick Aldis. However, later in the main event of SmackDown, he willingly agreed and signed the contract.

This raises the question in the minds of fans as why did Rhodes reject the partnership in the first place, only to eventually accept it?

Even if Triple H is set on a Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes tag team match for Bad Blood, the contract rejection segment between Rhodes and Aldis felt a bit unnecessary.

Mixed reactions from the fans post SmackDown

Following the recent SmackDown Season Premiere, the WWE Universe has had mixed reactions to the announcement of the tag team match. Some fans criticized the decision as predictable and expressed frustration at seeing Cody Rhodes reinserted into the Bloodline storyline.

Many felt WWE could have explored a different direction for Rhodes, such as a solo defense of the Undisputed WWE Championship. On the other hand, Roman Reigns continued dealing with The Bloodline on his own, given it’s a family matter.

Additionally, fans are confused by what they perceive as a logical inconsistency in the storyline and some feel that it lacked coherence.

Triple H could have better choices as Roman Reigns' partner for Bad Blood 2024

Another potential misstep for Bad Blood is the choice of Cody Rhodes as Roman Reigns' tag team partner. Triple H had several other options in his hand that might have been more compelling in this situation. Instead of Rhodes, The Game could have selected Jey Uso or Jimmy Uso.

Even if he wanted a shock factor, the Chief Content Officer could have introduced a new member to the ongoing Bloodline saga, such as Zilla Fatu, or Hikuleo as the partner for The Original Tribal Chief.

Only the upcoming episode of SmackDown will reveal how the storyline will unfold on the road to Bad Blood 2024. Also, it will reveal whether Triple H's decision to pair Reigns and Rhodes receives a positive reaction from the fans.
