Triple H may have quietly ended popular WWE tag team on RAW

Tensions between former WWE Tag Team Champions Austin Theory and Grayson Waller have been brewing for a while. Waller has often landed both himself and his partner in trouble by talking too much. He has also put Theory in compromising positions during matches.

Austin Theory and Waller's split has been teased more times than one can count, but they often seem to resolve their issues fairly quickly. However, in recent times, Theory has gained a lot of support from live crowds. Fans seem sick and tired of seeing the two-time United States Champion in the undercard and barely featured in prominent roles despite his undeniable potential.

A-Town Down Under was seen arguing on WWE RAW

Theory and Waller were seen arguing backstage on RAW, reigniting simmering tensions that have long persisted between the two young men. What this heated exchange was about remains unknown because they were merely seen arguing in the background.

WWE Women's Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch was seen walking in the backstage area ahead of her segment when the duo was spotted arguing. While Triple H might finally pull the trigger on the split in the coming weeks, it is also possible that the split might have quietly happened or at least been set in motion on Monday.

Theory has been seen enjoying the physical punishment Waller has been taking in the ring in recent weeks. Waller may have finally caught wind of this, and fans can finally see the split as soon as next week, if it hasn't already happened. It is also possible that WWE separates them during the 2025 Draft to conclude the partnership.

Austin Theory was once primed to be the next big thing

Austin Theory was once primed for a massive future under the Vince McMahon regime, with the former WWE Chairman even making him Mr. Money in the Bank. Even under Triple H, it seemed as if he would one day become a world champion before he started feuding with John Cena.

Many thought that Cena's promo leading up to WrestleMania 39 completely buried Theory. Even though Cena didn't technically say anything untrue, he put down Theory for good in his classic style.

Despite winning at WrestleMania, Theory never quite recovered from the hit he took courtesy of Cena. After a few high-profile wins, he suddenly lost the United States Championship and was soon slotted in a tag team with Grayson Waller. Triple H might be looking to rectify the mistake by booking A-Town Down Under's split.

Austin Theory and Grayson Waller's partnership has run its course

Theory and Waller were initially featured prominently on SmackDown, albeit not in high-profile roles. Be that as it may, they were regulars on TV and did get the opportunity to continue interacting with some of the top guys on the roster. However, what seemed like a decent short-term pairing ultimately overstayed its welcome.

With all that has been going on in WWE, Austin Theory has become a complete afterthought over the past year. Nonetheless, fans have been clamoring for Theory to turn on The Aussie Icon ever since, and at 27, Theory still has time to break out. To do so, he must get out of A-Town Down Under, though.

For what it's worth, during their time together, Austin Theory and Grayson Waller did at least win the WWE Tag Team Championship. Triple H could now move on from the partnership and book them as solo wrestlers.
