Triple H to protect major star; a surprising trade? - 4 reasons why Kevin Owens should be moved over to WWE RAW
Kevin Owens is currently a member of the SmackDown roster but could require a fresh start on WWE RAW. The Prizefighter brutally attacked Randy Orton last Friday night on the blue brand and hit The Viper with a Piledriver.
Orton missed over a year of action with a back injury before his return at Survivor Series 2023 and was taken out of the arena in an ambulance last week on the blue brand. SmackDown GM Nick Aldis could be planning on trying to send Owens to RAW in the weeks ahead due to his actions lately.
Listed below are four reasons why Kevin Owens should be moved over to RAW.
#4. Triple H could move Kevin Owens over to WWE RAW to protect Randy Orton
Triple H revealed that he was trying to protect Randy Orton from Kevin Owens in a promo on the October 25 edition of SmackDown. However, The Game ultimately decided to book a singles match between Orton and Owens at Crown Jewel.
The match was thrown out at the premium live event in Saudi Arabia as both stars were unable to control themselves and the bout devolved into a brawl. Orton was then subject to a banned move, the Piledriver, by Owens on the following episode of the blue brand.
Randy Orton likely wants revenge on Owens following his brutal attack last week on SmackDown. However, Triple H may decide to protect The Legend Killer at all costs and ship Owens to RAW in the coming weeks instead.
#3. Sami Zayn may be able to calm Owens down on RAW
Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens have been friends for years in real life, and sometimes portray characters that could be bitter enemies on television. However, the duo worked together at WrestleMania 39 to defeat The Usos to become Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions.
Zayn has reunited with Roman Reigns and The Usos, and will likely be appearing on SmackDown more often in the coming weeks.
Sami Zayn could approach SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis backstage and suggest that he trade Owens to SmackDown once his business with the OG Bloodline is taken care of. Owens and Zayn could then become a tag team once again and go after the World Tag Team Championship on RAW.
#2. Owens has already lost to the Undisputed WWE Champion
Cody Rhodes defeated Kevin Owens to retain the Undisputed WWE Championship at Bash in Berlin earlier this year. Owens turned heel shortly after the loss and attacked Rhodes in the parking lot following Bad Blood last month.
Rhodes left in the ambulance with Randy Orton last Friday on SmackDown, and will likely be out for revenge. Aldis could inform Owens that he would give him one more chance against The American Nightmare, but if he lost, he would be traded to RAW following the match.
#1. Adam Pearce could trade Bronson Reed for Kevin Owens for a fresh start
RAW General Manager Adam Pearce may decide to trade Bronson Reed soon as he has failed to control the former NXT North American Champion on the red brand. Nick Aldis also may want to move on from either Randy Orton or Kevin Owens on SmackDown, and could potentially work out a trade with Pearce.
The RAW GM would likely want to trade for Owens, as Orton planted him with an RKO at Crown Jewel. Owens could be traded for Reed as a way to give both stars a fresh start on WWE television.
