Triple H to suspend former WWE Universal Champion following his actions at Bad Blood? Potential punishment explored

WWE Bad Blood is in the history books, but fans are still reeling from the events that transpired backstage after the cameras stopped rolling. The show ended on a massive cliffhanger, thanks to Triple H for bringing back not one, but two real-life Bloodline members.

The main event of Bad Blood 2024 saw Jimmy Uso return to help Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes defeat Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu in a tag team match. Just when the fans thought the show had ended, The Rock turned up to seemingly put all three babyfaces on notice.

But that's not the only big takeaway from last night as Kevin Owens and Cody Rhodes were caught by fans arguing about something in the parking lot moments later. The situation quickly escalated when The Prizefighter finally turned heel on Cody Rhodes, attacking the Undisputed WWE Champion outside his tour bus.

Security rushed in to break them apart, but Owens somehow found his way to throw a trash can in Rhodes' direction. The disgruntled Canadian wrestler then got into his luxury car and fled the scene while the WWE personnel attended to The American Nightmare.

Given the nature of the altercation, Triple H could punish Kevin Owens by suspending him (in kayfabe) for endangering Cody Rhodes' safety outside WWE's premises.

The angle could help write the former Universal Champion off weekly TV while Cody Rhodes goes on to face Gunther for the inaugural Crown Jewel Title on November 2 in Riyadh.

However, things could change if Sami Zayn dethrones Gunther for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on RAW next week.

Why did Kevin Owens snap after WWE Bad Blood?

Kevin Owens' heel turn was part of a slow-burn storytelling, which clearly stems from his issues with The Bloodline over the years.

The Prizefighter has spent his last few years battling The Bloodline. He looked visibly upset when Cody Rhodes joined hands with Roman Reigns, the same man who made Kevin Owens' life a living hell and thwarted him from winning the Undisputed Championship on numerous occasions.

A few weeks later on SmackDown, Owens went off on Rhodes for causing an interference in his match against The Bloodline.

But Randy Orton helped de-escalate the situation. It will be interesting to see whose side The Viper will be on, considering The Bloodline nearly ended his career a few years ago.
