Triple H talks WCW negotiations, Why WWE stock is up, SmackDown viewership drops, more
- WWE released the preview below of the WWE Beyond the Ring special on the WWE Network from the Triple H: Thy Kingdom Come DVD. Triple H talked about his conversation with Eric Bischoff that led to him signing with WCW. Triple H asked Bischoff for five minutes of his time to show what he could do in the ring.
- WWE stock was down 0.49% today, closing at $16.32 per share. However, for the week the stock is up 5.5% since opening at $15.47 last Monday.
- Deadline.com has an article here noting that Brandon Ross of BTIG Research initiated coverage of WWE and told buyers that it's "time to get back in the ring" with "one of the few forward-thinking traditional media companies." He set of price target of $25 on the stock, and noted that he felt that the stock was "significantly undervalued."
"WWE is now a vertically integrated Media company with content and a distribution system that look well positioned for today's evolving media ecosystem ? an enviable position compared to a number of other media names we cover," Ross said.
- Last night's WWE SmackDown drew 2.466 million viewers, down 5.6% from last week's 2.611 million viewers.
