Trish Stratus to return as a heel and confront 8-time champion? Exploring potential surprise at WWE Money in the Bank
Trish Stratus is one of the most iconic superstars in WWE history. Widely regarded as one of the greatest female wrestlers of all time, Stratus is a fan favorite of the WWE Universe. Many would love to see her step into the squared circle once again. At the age of 48, she might do just that, as she could confront an eight-time champion at Money in the Bank.
Bayley, the champion in question, is currently without a challenger for the Money in the Bank PLE. Trish Stratus, who happens to be from Toronto, Canada, could step up and be the perfect opponent for The Role Model. It is possible that Stratus may return to the ring as a heel to challenge the reigning WWE Women's Champion.
If that isn't enough reason, WWE could indicate that Stratus is looking to confront the final of The Four Horsewomen. At the 2018 Royal Rumble, she engaged in a brief yet spirited confrontation with Sasha Banks, currently known as Mercedes Moné. Additionally, she has competed against Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch in several prominent matches. Now, the only superstar left to confront is Bayley.
A match between the two would certainly be quite the spectacle. Bayley would eagerly seize the chance to compete against Stratus, a renowned figure she admired in her youth. However, this is merely conjecture, and it is impossible to predict what lies ahead.
Trish Stratus is always ready to step into a WWE ring
The idea of Trish Stratus facing off against Bayley is enticing, but it has been some time since Stratus last competed in a wrestling match. She faced Becky Lynch in a Steel Cage match at Payback 2023. This raises questions about whether Stratus will have enough time to train for Money in the Bank.
Well, Stratus has answered that question herself. Speaking during a Q&A session for Going Ringside, Stratus was asked about retirement. She jokingly suggested that she was not familiar with the word, before stating that she is always ready to step into the ring.
“Retirement? What is retirement? I’m not familiar with this word. I don’t know anything about this word. We just stay ready. That’s a general statement that we (Trish & Lita) like to live by, just in case,” said Trish Stratus
As mentioned earlier, fans would love to see Stratus back in a WWE ring. And, from the sound of things, she is always ready. Hopefully, WWE can make that happen sometime in the near future.
