Twitter reacts to Friday Night SmackDown (October 11, 2019): Carmella, Mia Yim and others comment on the show
Tonight's episode of Friday Night SmackDown was a bit different from usual, owing to the WWE Draft that took place throughout the show. After 2016, WWE brought back the Draft concept this year to assign the Superstars on the main roster a permanent spot on either of the brands.
The show kicked off with Seth Rollins defeating Roman Reigns via disqualification to earn RAW the first pick of the entire Draft. The Red Brand chose its Women's Champion, Becky Lynch as the first overall pick alongwith Drew McIntyre and The O.C. SmackDown wasn't on the losing side of this scenario as they got Roman Reigns and 'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt for them.
The episode continued with a Hell in a Cell rematch, where King Corbin picked up the win over Shorty Gable. In another matchup, The New Day defeated The O.C in six-man tag team action when Kofi Kingston pinned the WWE United States Champion AJ Styles following a Trouble in Paradise.
In the meantime, RAW equipped their show with the likes of Ricochet, Kevin Owens, Alexa Bliss, Nikki Cross, Natalya, Street Profits, Viking Raiders, Randy Orton and Bobby Lashley. SmackDown, on the other hand, picked Sasha Banks, Braun Strowman, Lacey Evans, Heavy Machinery, Lucha House Party and the SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Revival.
The main event of the night featured Charlotte Flair defending her SmackDown Women's Championship against Bayley in another rematch from Hell in a Cell. Before the match, Bayley shocked the WWE Universe by destroying the 'Bayley Buddies' on her way to the ring. Debuting a new haircut and seemingly a new attitude, she went on to win the SmackDown Women's Championship by pinning The Queen to close this week's show of the Blue Brand.
Undoubtedly, SmackDown provided the fans with a solid show from the get-go and the responses on Twitter are only indications towards it. Here we present you with some of the best reactions regarding this week's Friday Night SmackDown.
