Twitter reacts to SmackDown Live (3rd September 2019)
The 3rd September edition of SmackDown Live featured the final two quarter-final round matches of the on-going King of the Ring Tournament and over the night, we also witnessed an explanation of Bayley, the SmackDown Live return of Sasha Banks, the in-ring return of Aleister Black, and a face-to-face between Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns following their confrontation last week.
The first segment of the show featured Bayley explaining her actions from this week's RAW when she attacked Becky Lynch with a steel chair and reunited with Sasha Banks. Shortly afterwards, Bayley and the returning Sasha Banks put Charlotte Flair on notice by brutally assaulting her, as well, ahead of her title SmackDown Women's Championship with The Hugger at Clash of Champions.
The first match of the evening featured Elias going head-to-head against Ali in the first of the two quarter-final matches of the ongoing King of the Ring Tournament, as The Drifter pulled pinned Ali for the win.
Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville also pulled off a major shock when they defeated WWE Women's Tag Team Champions, Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross in the first tag match of the night.
What followed next was another big upset, as Chad Gable defeated Andrade to qualify for the semi-finals of the King of The Ring Tournament. Next up, Aleister Black made his return to the ring, as he made quick work of Shelton Benjamin in an open challenge.
The final match of the evening saw Intercontinental Champion, Shinsuke Nakamura squashing Andrew Morton, who was billed as "The Miz" for the night, considering Nakamura will be defending the IC Title against The A-Lister at Clash of Champions.
Randy Orton and The Revival once again destroyed WWE Champion, Kofi Kingston and oh, we also had some 24/7 Championship mayhem, as Drake Maverick lost and won back the title before eventually losing it back to R-Truth in shocking fashion.
The episode concluded with Erick Rowan brutally assaulting both Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan and with that being said, here are some of the best Twitter reactions from tonight's SmackDown Live.
