Two ex-champions turn heel to form a new faction, heartbreaking betrayal & more - 5 Things Chad Gable can do on WWE RAW
Chad Gable helped Sami Zayn pull off a massive upset and defeat Gunther at WWE WrestleMania XL. He served as Zayn's coach in the weeks leading up to The Show of Shows.
Sami Zayn returned the favor by giving Gable a title shot in the main event of last week's WWE RAW. The champion won the match in his hometown and celebrated with his wife after the bell. Gable took the opportunity to turn heel and attacked the Intercontinental Champion as the Montreal crowd booed.
Below are five things Chad Gable can do on this week's edition of WWE RAW:
#5. Chad Gable could apologize to Sami Zayn on WWE RAW
Chad Gable could have had some time to think about his actions last week on the red brand and may regret them. The Alpha Academy member may decide to approach Sami Zayn backstage and offer a legitimate apology.
The Intercontinental Champion may not accept Gable's apology and demand another match against him. However, Zayn has made some questionable decisions in the past, and he could decide to forgive the veteran instead of trying to get revenge on him.
#4. He could attack Gunther during his return to RAW
Gunther accomplished a lot during his 666-day reign as Intercontinental Champion, and one of them was defeating Chad Gable in front of his daughter. The match occurred last September, and Gable's daughter broke into tears in the crowd.
The Ring General has not been seen since his loss to Sami Zayn at WWE WrestleMania XL but will return this week on RAW. Upon his return, Gunther could be presented as a babyface, and Gable could attack him from behind.
#3. Gable could ask to join Imperium
Former Intercontinental Champion Gunther is the leader of the Imperium faction on WWE RAW. While the 36-year-old has dominated on the main roster, Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci have not accomplished much so far.
Chad Gable could offer to join the faction to help get the best out of Vinci and Kaiser. The veteran may tell Gunther that it is time for him to go after a major title and offer to join Imperium to improve his faction overall.
#2. He could betray Alpha Academy
Alpha Academy is a babyface faction on WWE RAW comprised of Chad Gable, Otis, Akira Tozawa, and Maxxine Dupri. The rest of the faction might not agree with the veteran's attack on Sami Zayn last week and could confront him about the issue on this week's Monday Night show.
Instead of admitting he was wrong, Gable may attack his stablemates in a heartbreaking betrayal. It would not make sense for the 38-year-old to stay in Alpha Academy unless the rest of the faction also turns heel.
Maxxine Dupri recently disclosed that she wants to be a part of Alpha Academy until the day she dies, so it will be interesting to see how his stablemates respond to his heel turn.
#1. Gable could create a new faction with The Creed Brothers
The Creed Brothers defeated Alpha Academy's Chad Gable and Otis in their debut match on WWE RAW. Brutus and Julius Creed went on to win a Tag Team Turmoil match on November 27 last year to become the number one contenders but came up short in their title match against The Judgment Day.
Gable already knows what The Creed Brothers are capable of and could be looking to form a new faction on the red brand. Gable and The Creed Brothers would be a very talented trio that has the potential to be dominant moving forward on WWE RAW.
