WWE News: Tye Dillinger works NXT tapings
What’s the story?
Tye Dillinger, who debuted on SmackDown LIVE on April 4th, worked the NXT tapings at Full Sail University the following day.
In case you didn’t know...
Dillinger (real name Ronald William Arneill) signed with WWE in 2013 (he worked for WWE as Gavin Spears from 2006 – 2009). He struggled for the first few years in NXT until he developed the popular ‘Perfect 10’ gimmick which has generated buzz and fan support. His long-awaited main roster debut came on the April 4th episode of SmackDown LIVE when he appeared as the surprise opponent of Curt Hawkins.
The heart of the matter
This will probably be the last time we see Dillinger in an NXT ring as he looks to become a full-time member of the main roster.

Tye is most likely only working the NXT tapings to wrap up his current feud with SAnity as the upcoming NXT episode is set to see the announcement of a steel cage match between The Perfect 10 and Eric Young. After that match, he will be done with NXT.
What’s next?
As long as he doesn't move to Raw during the Superstar Shakeup, Tye Dillinger will be on next week's episode of SmackDown.
Author’s take
I was hoping Dillinger would do one more set of tapings to wrap up his feud with SAnity’s Eric Young, and the upcoming steel cage match is a great way to end the rivalry between them.
It’s possibly he will work NXT Takeover: Chicago if the feud continues past the steel cage match, but it is highly unlikely. I’ve been a fan of Dillinger for a long time, and it feels like he has been in limbo down in NXT for a while, so I’m very excited about his call-up. He has received congratulations from fans and fellow talent alike, and it seems everyone feels his main roster debut is long overdue.
Right now it feels like the sky is the limit for Tye and I sincerely hope the backstage officials feel that way too.
