Uncle Howdy to bring back 6 ft 8 in former family member; 416-lbs monster? - 4 stars who could return to WWE in the first half of 2025
WWE is thriving with Triple H in charge. He is always putting out top-notch shows for the fans. The roster is also packed with some of the greatest superstars around, which is a big part of why it's doing so well.
Many well-known performers are hitting the stage regularly, but some of those on the roster have been missing from the action. Whether it's due to injuries, shifts in creative plans, or personal matters, they've been sidelined. Still, there's a chance we might see some of them back in action in 2025.
Here are four stars who could return in the first half of 2025.
#4. 6 ft 8 in superstar Braun Strowman could join The Wyatt Sicks
The Monster Among Men has been out with an injury sustained during the Last Man Standing match against Bronson Reed on the September 30 episode of RAW. Strowman recently shared that he's on the mend and is just waiting for the green light from doctors to get back in the ring.
The six-foot-eight-inch monster could team up with the Wyatt Sicks once he returns. This group has been caught up in a brutal feud with The Final Testament and recently faced a tough defeat against them. His return could be exactly what Uncle Howdy and his crew need to shift the momentum.
On the first RAW on Netflix, the head of the spooky faction could bring Strowman back as The Fiend for a special appearance, paying homage to the legendary Bray Wyatt and his mysterious persona. This would not only celebrate Wyatt’s legacy but also position Strowman as a strong force to assist The Wyatt Six against The Final Testament.
#3. 416-pound monster Omos could return to WWE TV for the Men's Royal Rumble
Omos could return at the 2025 Premium Live Event and the Royal Rumble. He might as well be booked in a way that would have him beat the record for the most eliminations in the Men’s Royal Rumble match. If he does this, then this man's size and strength may warrant him to be one of the favorites in the Stamford-based promotion.
The last time we saw the Nigerian Giant on WWE TV was during the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal in April. An amazing Rumble performance might be his chance to be finally recognized as a monster heel.
#2. Becky Lynch could return on the first WWE RAW on Netflix
Becky Lynch was last seen on the May 27 episode of RAW, in which she lost to Liv Morgan in a steel cage match. She took a hiatus from wrestling following the expiration of her contract in June.
Recently, the 37-year-old was spotted attending the WWE/Netflix media event. This sighting may suggest that she is preparing for a return to the company as it shifts focus toward the popular streaming platform. If she indeed returns in January, it would be an ideal time as it is right before the Royal Rumble, which would present an opportunity for her to indicate her participation in the Women’s Royal Rumble match.
Her return could reignite her rivalry with The Miracle Kid. Plus, with the Netflix era kicking off, Lynch’s return could serve as a major draw for WWE RAW.
#1. Brock Lesnar could return and declare for the Men's Royal Rumble match
The Beast Incarnate is listed as an active competitor on WWE's official website. His most recent match was at SummerSlam 2023, where he faced off against Cody Rhodes. He was supposed to return for the 2024 Royal Rumble. However, a lawsuit involving Vince McMahon prevented him from returning.
During the WrestleMania 40 press conference, Triple H noted that the 47-year-old is still with WWE and is biding his time for the right moment to return. The Game could finally bring back Lesnar on January 6 to create some excitement around the new streaming deal.
This could pave the way for Lesnar to announce his entry into the 30-man elimination match. His presence could immediately raise the stakes for the event and the Road to WrestleMania 41.
