Undertaker to appear on RAW after Battleground, possibly facing Sting at SummerSlam?
PWInsider have reported that Undertaker is going to return to WWE TV on the post- Battleground episode of Monday Night RAW. He is expected to initiate a feud for the SummerSlam pay-per-view as suggested by these reports.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer has noted that Taker is currently scheduled for Monday’s RAW in Kansas City and could be appearing at Battleground itself but that hasn’t ben confirmed yet.
Meltzer has also stated that both Taker and Sting have been booked although there has been no official word on whether a dream feud between these two could finally occur. “Things happen when ratings go down, although the Sting thing was happening anyway,” Meltzer stated.
Undertaker’s last appearance was at Wrestlemania 31 this year where he defeated Bray Wyatt to further his WM record to 22-1. Battleground return rumours have been running rampant on social media after a picture of him working out in the gym was posted recently on the web.The speculations were also fuelled following certain posts from Reddit user Falconarrow, who has apparently leaked backstage stories before, as he suggested that he may return at the PPV.
For now, Taker is returning to RAW next week. Although his rumoured opponent is Sting, whether fans do get to witness this epic feud on August 23 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York remains to be seen.
