Universally loved former MCU star to make his WWE debut alongside The Rock? Chances explored
The Rock's name has once again been buzzing within the WWE Universe, as fans expect the People's Champion to return to the Stamford-based promotion soon after recent hints. Besides this, his next Hollywood film, Red One, is set to hit theaters on November 15, 2024.
As we approach the release of Red One, there’s speculation that universally loved former MCU star Chris Evans might make his WWE television debut alongside The Final Boss.
For those unaware, Chris Evans is also set to play a key role in The Rock's upcoming film. If the Great One appears in WWE to promote his forthcoming project, it's quite likely that he could bring Evans along with him.
An appearance from the former Captain America would surely be loved by MCU fans and would give WWE a significant boost in mainstream attention.
With Bad Blood just around the corner, if Evans decides to make a WWE appearance alongside The Rock, the promotion might prefer an episode of SmackDown before the release of the film on November 15. The former MCU star could make a surprise appearance on the blue brand, which in turn would also generate huge buzz for Red One and WWE alike.
It’s important to note that nothing has been confirmed yet regarding Chris Evans' potential WWE television debut, and this speculation is purely based on the approaching theatrical release of Red One.
Why The Rock is expected to make his return soon in WWE?
The Final Boss is anticipated to make his WWE comeback at the upcoming premium live event, Bad Blood 2024. This expectation arises from a recent hint dropped by Pat McAfee during Cody Rhodes' appearance on his show. The WWE commentator mentioned that 'a big guy' is coming to Bad Blood, which many believe is a hint at the return of The People's Champion at the upcoming PLE.
The Final Boss already has a history of bad blood with the Undisputed WWE Champion. The Hollywood megastar even confronted Cody after WrestleMania, issuing a warning to him. So, with The American Nightmare standing against the Bloodline again at the upcoming PLE, The Rock might decide to return and tend to unfinished business with Rhodes.
The situation will be particularly interesting, as the Undisputed WWE Champion will be teaming up with Roman Reigns. The latter was betrayed by Solo Sikoa after WrestleMania XL. If Rock decides to return and cost Cody the match he will end up being in Roman Reigns's crosshair, adding yet more drama to the Bloodline Saga.
It remains to be seen whether this fan prediction will come true at Bad Blood 2024 and whether the Final Boss will grace the WWE Universe with his presence on October 5.
