Update on Chris Jericho's WWE status, new match added to WWE Network special

Chris Jericho’s appearance at NOC was scheduled to be one-day affair

- Chris Jericho was the mystery man Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose used in their match against The Wyatt Family at WWE Night Of Champions last night in Houston, Texas.

Ultimately, however, he cost the team the match by tagging himself in and taking the loss by passing out in Braun Strowman’s finisher. After, Jericho shoulder checked Ambrose on his way out of the ring, seemingly upset at either himself or his teammates prompting Ambrose to call him “glory hound”.

However, the man in question was not present backstage for tonight’s WWE RAW in Laredo, Texas. Jericho was only scheduled for last night’s WWE Night Of Champions pay-per-view, according to PWInsider. No word yet on where they will go with the tension between Jericho and partners Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose.

A feud between Ambrose and Jericho is certainly on the cards if they plan to go ahead with the angle and it would be a really great feud if booked properly, but at the moment Jericho was just in for a one-off appearnce.

- The Dudley Boyz have been added to the October 3rd event at Madison Square Garden. They will face WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day at the WWE Network Special.

This is the first time the team will perform in the venue since their WrestleMania 20 appearance. The only other confirmed match for the special is Brock Lesnar vs. Big Show. The event starts at 7:30 pm EST that Saturday night. The Big Show called out Lesnar on RAW and warned him about what’s in store for The Beast. As the rubber match between Taker and Lesnar has been announced for Hell In A Cell, Lesnar is most likely to take Show for a ride to Suplex City.
