Usos on ESPN - talk about family, Naomi and more, AJ Styles - WWE update

The Usos appeared on ESPN with Jonathan Coachman

- This week on ESPN’s ‘Off the Top Rope’ hosted by Jonathan Coachman, it was The Usos who were the guests. The recently returned brothers spoke about length on many topics, including their family and their time in the WWE.

When Coach brought up the family legacy of the Usos, including names such as cousin The Rock and father Rikishi, Jimmy and Jey acknowledged the big shoes they have to walk in. But they also realise that they have to do their own thing and mentioned bringing their ‘own shoes’.

The Usos also spoke about playing college sports, football being the most helpful when it comes to translating into wrestling. Jimmy spoke about his relationship with Naomi and how the experience on ‘Total Divas’ was a challenge as well as a cool experience, letting the fans see the other side of things.

In closing, The Usos talked about finding their own ‘swag’ and not worrying too much about living to their family name. Below are the videos from their appearance on the show.

- One of the most notable names that hasn’t crossed over to the WWE from the indies, is A J Styles. However, there was recent speculation on Styles being in talks with WWE NXT, which couldn’t be confirmed as AJ’s peers in the NJPW believe he isn‘t keen on going to the WWE.

Styles was the guest on Taz’s podcast a couple of weeks back and the question whether he would be moving to the WWE came up. Styles didn’t lean towards any particular direction as he said:

“At this point in my career, I’m going to go do what’s best for my family and I want to do what’s best to provide for them. So, the business that we’re in, the business could be better somewhere else, then that’s where I’m going to go. That’s what I’m going to do. So, like I said, it’s a business plan. Wherever the plan takes me, that’s where I’ll go.”
