Video: How The Undertaker appears when the lights go out

The Undertaker has played mind games with his opponents for a long time with this secret.

The Gong strikes, darkness fills the arena, and when the lights are back on The Undertaker is standing in the ring. It is one of the most iconic sequences in the history of professional wrestling and is met with deafening cheers to this day.

This sequence also drives fear into the hearts of The Phenom’s opponents. Regardless of who he is, the adversary in question has a mini heart-attack when that “Gong” strikes and The Deadman is staring at them from across the ring.

For decades, the WWE Universe has been wondering how The Undertaker manages to appear out of thin air suddenly. The mystical nature of these appearances has always been one of the biggest secrets of The Undertaker’s career.

Not anymore.

Thanks to a fan who was in attendance this past week on Raw, there is now video footage of The Undertaker emerging from underneath the ring and sneaking in behind Roman Reigns.

As you can see from the video, The Deadman usually rolls out from underneath the ring and assumes his position in mere seconds. Even during the twilight of his career, The Phenom has the agility to make it into the ring within ten seconds.

It would behove Roman Reigns to take note. The Undertaker may be old, but he is still as agile as ever. This Sunday, Roman Reigns will face the ultimate test in the form of The Undertaker. Reigns has vowed to retire The Undertaker at WrestleMania 33, but he has to realise by now that it is easier said than done. When the two men meet on Sunday, fireworks are almost guaranteed to follow. A passing of the torch appears to be on the cards.
