In case you didn’t know...
John Hennigan is best known for his time in WWE where he wrestled under the ring names John Morrison and Johnny Nitro from 2002 till 2011.
The 37-year old has since been a regular on the indie pro-wrestling circuit, and most notably performs for Lucha Underground and Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide as Johnny Mundo.
The heart of the matter
The incident occurred at a Wrestlecircus event over the weekend, where Morrison competed against Brian Cage for the Ringmaster championship in the main event.
Johnny attempted a springboard dive off the top rope on his opponent who was outside the ring. In what appears to be a minor slip, he lost balance and fell over head-first on the floor outside the ring.
The fans collectively let out a huge sigh, with most of them acknowledging the scary botch and some others recording the incident on their phones. Morrison got up immediately and nailed Cage with a Superkick to the face.

What’s next?
Despite continuing after his fall, Morrison came up short in his bid to win the match. Nevertheless, the high-flyer seems to be unfazed by the incident and is already promoting the premiere of his new movie Boone the Bounty Hunter in Los Angeles.
Author’s take
Johnny is one of the best high-flyers in the business today, and it’s a relief to see that the man escaped the horrendous fall relatively unscathed.
I remember his time in the WWE when the commentators used to compare his agility to that of a cat. And just like a true cat, good ol’ Johnny Mundo seems to have multiple lives. The Face of Lucha Underground proves his toughness yet again!
