Video: Rey Mysterio wrestles for indie promotion, Jericho's speech and more
- Watching Mysterio in action is always a treat to witness and since his WWE exit, the fans have been eager to see him work his magic between the ropes.
He recently appeared for Pro Wrestling Syndicate and worked a tag team match for the indie promotion. He teamed up with Habib from The Car Wash to take on The Amazing Red and Matt Macintosh in an entertaining match up. The other matches featured on the card were PWS Champion Dan Maff vs.“The Croatian Sensation” Mario Bokara and a brutal six-way title match.
PWS have also lined up some great matches for the coming weeks as Rob Van Dam will face off against Jim Morrison for the very first time on 24th of October in Rahway, New Jersey. The video is at the end of the article.
- Chris Jericho wrestled his last match before going on tour with his band at the live event in New Mexico. He squared off against King Barret and according to sources at the show, it was the match of the night as both stars put on a clinic. Post-match, Jericho cut a promo and it was a great one indeed, one that you would expect from the classy Y2J. In his broken yet sincere Spanish, Jericho thanked the fans of Mexico City for its history associated with Y2J and pro wrestling.
He thanked the likes of Dr. Wagner, El Dandy, Silver King and Negro Casas, who he worked with during his days with CMLL years ago. Jericho posted this on Instagram:
This was Jericho’s last match before his routine hiatus as he goes for a 22-day tour with his band Fozzy. He made sure he went out with a bang by putting on the match of the night against King Barret.
