Video: The Miz says Daniel Bryan needs to be in Title picture
The Miz appeared on 97.1 The Eagle to promote tonight’s WWE Monday Night RAW. Here are some highlights from the interview -
- He was shocked to see John Cena lose, he was expecting Cena to win since he’s “Super Cena.”
- He didn’t feel like WWE had too many titles because he was always a fan of the history of each of those belts.
- He said he never thinks of himself as a heel or a face and that he’s just himself. He knows he’s annoying, but said that he wants fans to like him because of who he is, not because of some character.
- Miz feels that Kofi Kingston is a great wrestler and is very underutilized and he’s bringing out a side of Kofi that fans haven’t seen.
- Miz also feels that he’s underrated, as well as Tyson Kidd and The Usos. He thinks that they will be big stars once they get that chance.
- Miz feels that Daniel Bryan needs to be in the title picture now since he’s so hot. Miz joked about teaching him everything he knows on NXT.
- As for being on the road while being engaged to Maryse, Miz noted that he’s working and constantly travelling, doing media and going to the gym so it’s not like he’s partying on the road. He said that Maryse is very understanding, and that it’s always nice going back home to her.
- The Miz took Stephanie McMahon calling him a “utility player” as a compliment, and said that he’s proud that he can do it all.
- Miz credited The Rock for him wanting to become a WWE Superstar, and said that he was also a big Ultimate Warrior fan as a kid. He talked about wearing streamers and painting his face as a kid, as well as having Ultimate Warrior and Ted Dibiase dolls.
- Miz said that there’s nothing that he would do differently, and that he’s happy with where he’s at although he would like to be in the main event picture. He said that he has a great life and is living his dream.
- Miz said it was intimidating meeting Vince McMahon for the first time, and he first met him while he was the host of SmackDown. Vince told The Miz that he had to smile since he was the first thing that people would see when they tuned in.
