WWE News: Vince Russo claims that Raw is the 'worst show on TV'

Vince Russo was the head WWE writer from 1997 to 1999

In a latest video posted on WrestlingInc, former WWE head writer Vince Russo offered some very harsh words about the current WWE programming stating that Raw is the "worst show on television".

He also obliterated last week's episode of the company's flagship show which featured the return of the chairman of the board, Mr. McMahon.

Last week's Raw featured a battle royal to determine the new #1 contender for the International Championship as well as a returning Vince McMahon, who announced Shane McMahon and Stephanie McMahon are going to be the Commissioners of Smackdown and Raw respectively.

It's notable here that Raw has been hitting some of it's lowest TV ratings in the recent times. In fact just 2 weeks ago during the July 4th episode of the show averaged a TV rating of 1.87 which is the lowest TV ratings for the Red brand in almost 20 years.

Vince Russo was signed by WWE as a writer back in 1992. He quickly climbed the ladder and became the head writer of the WWE programming and was responsible for many storylines in the Attitude era.

After that, he also joined WCW and has worked with TNA on multiple occasions as well.
