Watch: Footage of how Becky Lynch was busted open on WWE RAW
What's the story?
Last night on RAW, SmackDown Women's Champion Becky Lynch was left bloodied in the midst of a brawl where she orchestrated an ambush on the RAW Women's Team ahead of Survivor Series.
It's been reported that the match has now been removed from Sunday's Survivor Series, via Sean Ross Sapp, but incredible footage has now emerged of just how Becky Lynch suffered what's rumoured to be a broken nose and concussion.
In case you didn't know
Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey have been on a collision course that's intensified ten-fold over the past week, with the pair jabbing each other via social media with a very personal war of words. Becky scored the first takedown of the rivalry when she ambushed Rousey on RAW, before confronting the women of Team RAW before Team SmackDown struck from behind, with a mass brawl ensuing.
The heart of the matter
During the TV coverage from last night's Team RAW vs Team SmackDown brawl, eagle-eyed viewers may have spotted the moment where Becky Lynch was busted open, but most would have been pretty shocked to see blood pouring from her nose amidst a melee, or maybe only even realised when we saw the SmackDown Women's Champion wear her war paint to close the show when we saw Lynch in the crowd.
However, WWE's edited footage cut to black and white the second Lynch was bloodied in the brawl, in footage released shortly after RAW. While the actual action that caused the injury was still slightly ambiguous, some incredible fan footage has been released courtesy of the ever-reliable Brian The Guppie on Twitter, where you can see exactly how Lynch sustained her injuries.
What's next?
Becky Lynch is scheduled to face off against Ronda Rousey on Sunday at Survivor Series and, officially, that's all we can say is happening.
With several outlets reporting that the match is in jeopardy, though, you'd have to think there's at least a chance it's off the card - particularly when you watch this new footage of Becky Lynch sustaining her injuries.
I guess only time will tell.
