Even though he has left WWE, he is now in the midst of a notable legal controversy with ex-employee Janel Grant. Various people have been discussing the case, including a former WWE wrestler who was once heavily promoted by McMahon.
The former superstar in question is none other than Alberto Del Rio. Having spent seven years in WWE, the 47-year-old worked quite closely with Vince McMahon. In fact, some may say that he was one of the most successful names under the leadership of The Boss, winning multiple titles during his initial run with the Stamford-based promotion. Well, he recently gave his two cents on his former employer's current situation.
In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling, Alberto Del Rio was asked for his opinions on the controversy involving Vince McMahon. The seasoned wrestler, who has been in the industry for 24 years, expressed uncertainty about how things will turn out but expressed faith in the American legal system. Del Rio ultimately feels that once the truth comes to light, it will be the public that decides whether to accept it, regardless of whose side they are on.
"To be honest, I don't know what's going to happen because the law system works in different ways in every state. But, I can tell you this, the law system in America works and it's fair, and they always find the truth. Whenever they find the truth, whatever the truth is, for one side or the other, it will be a matter of people deciding if they can take the truth or not," said Alberto Del Rio.
