What is Kevin Owens’ win/loss record as referenced on WWE SmackDown? Know the impact on mega title feud

WWE Superstar Kevin Owens is known as the Prizefighter, a reputation he earned his first night in the company. After victory in his debut match, Owens turned on his best friend Sami Zayn, looking to weaken him before challenging for the NXT Championship. Followers of Owens' career prior to him coming to WWE know that gold has always driven him over nearly anything else.

The former Universal Champion hasn't had much success regarding singles gold in recent years. The last time Kevin Owens held a singles title was 2017, his third United States Championship reign. Even knowing that, on SmackDown Cody Rhodes offered him a shot at the Undisputed WWE Championship at Bash in Berlin. The American Nightmare felt that Owens earned it for having his back against The Bloodline this year.

Unfortunately, Owens doesn't feel he's earned it. During the segment, Owens stated that he wasn't worthy of a title opportunity, pointing to his win-loss record this year.

"I don't deserve a title match. I really don't. Title matches need to be earned. I've done nothing to earn it. Look at my win-loss record over the last year. I don't deserve it."

When it comes to televised matches and PLEs, Owens does have a point. Since his first match of the year at New Year's Revolution Night 2, he's racked up a shoddy 6-9 record.

Cody Rhodes and the fans spent the rest of their segment trying to convince KO that he's more than deserving of an opportunity at the WWE Championship. Regardless of Owens' feelings on the matter, Rhodes left to go convince GM Nick Aldis.

Will Kevin Owens challenge Cody Rhodes for the WWE Title at Bash in Berlin?

Cody did exactly as he promised, marching straight back to Nick Aldis in an effort to convince the GM that Kevin Owens is a reputable challenger. Aldis claimed that he was going to give Roman Reigns the opportunity, firing KO up.

Known to be incredibly blunt, especially when speaking the truth, Owens stated that the rematch clause hasn't been a thing in years.

"I never got a rematch after I lost the Universal Title so why does he get one? Because he's Roman Reigns? Get the Hell outta here, man. No way. You wanna see someone who deserves a title match more than Roman Reigns? Go to the locker room, open the door, and look in there, because you'll find someone. Trust me."

It turns out that Nick Aldis wanted to see if Owens really had the drive to face Cody Rhodes. When he fought for the locker room, it was all the General Manager needed to see.

He made it official, securing the second world title match at Bash in Berlin. Not only will Randy Orton face Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship, but Kevin Owens will challenge his friend Cody Rhodes for the WWE Title.

It's good to have friends in high places, eh?
