What is Randy Orton's real ethnicity? Exploring his revelation at WWE Bash in Berlin Kickoff
Randy Orton has his work cut out for him as we head into Bash in Berlin. Up against The Ring General, Gunther, Orton will be the underdog. After all, the two men will be doing battle on the World Heavyweight Champion's home turf, or at least as close as we can get to Vienna, Austria. But that may not necessarily be the case, as The Viper recently revealed.
Making his presence felt at the Bash in Berlin Kickoff show, Randy Orton addressed the WWE Universe in Germany. Now, as mentioned earlier, this is Gunther's home turf, so one would assume that Orton would be viewed as the "enemy." However, his ethnicity, as per ancestry.com, says otherwise, and in a strange turn of events, he might be more at home in Germany than The Ring General himself.
As he revealed to the fans in attendance, his results from ancestry.com showed that he is in fact 70% German. Given his chiseled looks, 6-foot-5 stature, and striking blue eyes, this shouldn't come as much of a surprise. But, what's more, he also revealed that it made a lot of sense to him personally, as he has been prone to enjoying a good Heineken beer and having sauerkraut on his hot dogs.
"Before I came on this trip, I went online to a website called ancestry.com, and I did my genetic test. It turns out, I am almost 70% German." said Randy Orton.
Well, with his ethnicity now revealed, Randy Orton will be hoping to make his fellow countrymen in Germany proud. That said, only time will tell if he will be successful in his endeavors. After all, defeating The Ring General is no easy task.
Randy Orton is hoping to leave Berlin as a 15-time world champion
The manner in which Randy Orton earned his title match was quite something. Typical of an Apex Predator, Orton lay in wait for the right moment to strike. After the controversial way he lost his match in the final of the King of the Ring tournament, he waited for Gunther to become champion before demanding a rematch. But righting the wrong that took place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, is far from the only reason why he challenged The Ring General.
For context, Orton is one of the most successful superstars in WWE history. And, as things stand, he is tied for third in WWE for the most world championship reigns at 14. With that in mind, he hopes to come out victorious at Bash in Berlin and claim the third spot for himself as a 15-time world champion.
It will be great to see Orton become a 15-time world champion. But, his ambition is unlikely to stop there. Best believe he will be looking to rise to the very top and cement his legacy even further.
