What's so special about John Cena's WWE Farewell tour merch? Analyzing the details
If you don't already know, John Cena has announced his intention to retire in 2025. For an entire year, starting in January all the way to December, fans will get to see The Leader of the Cenation for several appearances for the final time. In light of this, WWE has now officially released his farewell tour merch. Unsurprisingly, there are plenty of special things about the new merch, but what are they?
Given that this is John Cena's farewell tour merchandise we are talking about, WWE had to make it special. But, before you go copping a few on the official website, there are a few things to make note of. After all, it is a unique piece, simply because it encapsulates his 23-year career in a simple t-shirt.
First things first, the t-shirt pays homage to John Cena's accomplishments inside the squared circle. The black t-shirt is littered with information, all of which proves just how incredible a superstar he is. On the back, fans can find each and every one of his title wins listed, with the dates and cities he won them included. Additionally, it also includes his other achievements, like his Royal Rumble wins, his Money in the Bank win, and more.
Finally, and perhaps most importantly, the front of the t-shirt features artwork of him, with his name stamped right on top. It really has a retro feel to it, almost like something you would find on merch from the 90s and early 2000s. One thing is for sure though, the WWE Universe better get to buying it, because a t-shirt like this could be sold out very soon.
John Cena has a slew of challengers for 2025, including a four-time champion
John Cena's retirement announcement came as a surprise to many, including some of his fellow WWE wrestlers. Despite still appearing to be in top physical condition and being a 16-time world champion, it seems that he is prepared to transition into a new phase of his life. Consequently, several superstars have thrown their name into the hat, as they look to get involved in this monumental retirement tour.
The likes of Randy Orton and Seth Rollins have made known their interest in getting involved. But, these veterans of the sport aren't the only ones with their eyes on Cena. Several young up-and-coming superstars are intent on making a name for themselves, and four-time champion Carmelo Hayes recently took the opportunity to challenge the Leader of the Cenation, as he is ready to "come get some".
Safe to say Cena is going to have his work cut out for him come 2025. But, as always he will be ready to step up to the plate, with one goal and only one goal in mind, and that's making it the best year of his whole career.
