What was Butch called in NXT?

Butch was called Pete Dunne during his time in NXT and NXT UK. During the initial days of his professional wrestling career, Peter Thomas England wrestled under the name Tiger Kid with a mask. However in 2010, Tiger Kid lost to Helix in a Mask vs Hair match at Riot Act Wrestling, where he dropped his name with the mask and adopted the new name Pete Dunne. He wrestled under the name Pete Dunne for almost 13 years in multiple wrestling promotions around the world. WWE changed his name to Butch, when he made his debut on the main roster in 2022 to repackage himself into a completely new character who is masculine, tough and aggressive.

Pete Dunne has one of the greatest runs in NXT and NXT UK, where he has been the NXT United Kingdom Champion with the second longest reign in the NXT history by holding the title for 685 days.
