In recent weeks, wrestling fans got an unexpected update on a former WWE superstar when Scott Steiner’s name popped up in the news. In a truly strange story, he just happened to be a witness to an attempted murder but was identified as a “local business owner” because he owns a Shoney’s restaurant in Acworth, Georgia, which is near Atlanta.

What better person to start with than Scott Steiner’s brother, Rick Steiner? The duo worked in both WWF and WCW during the 1990s, racking up more than a dozen tag title victories across the globe and even winning some singles gold.

These days, Rick – real name Robert Rechsteiner – is in one of the last positions you’d expect for the “Dog-faced Gremlin” as he was elected to serve on the Cherokee County school board in Canton, Georgia. He even got in a bit of trouble for trying to use his Steiner name in qualifying for the election, but who could really blame him?
