Which current WWE star does Dominik Mysterio say is like his stepdad?
Dominik Mysterio is one of the top rising talents in WWE who has been carrying the legacy of the Mysterio family. However, his on-screen relationship with his father has been quite acrimonious lately, as the two have been at loggerheads for a long time now. Even though the 27-year-old hates his real-life dad, Rey Mysterio, he views a certain WWE star as his stepfather.
The superstar is none other than Finn Balor. During a recent interview with The Bootleg Kev Podcast, Dominik heaped praise on his Judgment Day stablemate. He expressed his elation at getting an opportunity to work alongside The Prince and understand the latter. Since their meetup in 2017, Balor has taken Mysterio under his wing, sharing invaluable wisdom and expertise.
Like a nurturing father, the veteran superstar has guided Dirty Dom through the complexities of the wrestling world. According to the 27-year-old, Finn Balor's presence has been invaluable for him, and the latter has been guiding him throughout the ride like a stepfather. Dominik Mysterio holds high regard for his Judgment Day stablemate.
He felt that The Prince has always been like a parenting figure to him when it comes to imparting knowledge of the wrestling realm. As a result, Dominik dubbed Balor "one of the greatest of all" during that very interview. While Dirty Dom's relationship with his real-life father, Rey Mysterio, may not be well in WWE, he does enjoy an inseparable bond with his stablemate.
It will be interesting to see what the future holds for the two Judgment Day members on Monday Night RAW.
What does Finn Balor think of Dominik Mysterio?
Dominik Mysterio and Finn Balor have been together for quite some time now and their brotherhood goes beyond the wrestling ring. During an interview with What's the Story back in July this year, The Prince highly praised his Judgment Day stablemate and expressed his thoughts on the latter.
He admired Dominik's growth in WWE over the years and the amount of progression the latter made in such a short period. Moreover, Balor said that the amount of hatred that the 27-year-old generated as a heel was commendable and that it had significantly elevated The Judgment Day's stature as a heel faction.
The former Universal Champion had initially thought that he, Damian Priest, and Rhea Ripley were supposed to help Dominik Mysterio. However, Finn Balor felt that it was actually Mysterio who helped his stablemates and the faction evolve as a credible nefarious faction.
Finn and Dominik are currently the two pillars of The Judgment Day on RAW. It will be interesting to see what WWE has in store for both superstars.
