Which Marvel anti-hero character did Randy Orton audition for? Unknown details explored
Randy Orton is one of the top performers in WWE, a talent like no other. With the physique, technique, and mic skills to boot, he is undoubtedly a fan-favorite of the WWE Universe. But unlike some other top stars, he never really stepped foot in Hollywood. That said, he did audition for a very popular Marvel movie, where he could have potentially played a big anti-hero character.
The movie in question was actually a part of the 'Fox Cinematic Universe' at the time: 'Deadpool 2'. There was a small chance that Randy Orton, The Viper, could have starred alongside Ryan Reynolds as none other than the brooding anti-hero, Cable. But, as well all know, this did not come to pass.
As Randy Orton revealed on 'What Do You Wanna Talk About?' with Cody Rhodes, he started auditioning here and there a while back. And, one of the first movies he auditioned for after getting the right Hollywood exposure was Deadpool 2. While he didn't reveal the details of his reading, he was quite confident that he would get the role.
"So, I do auditions here and there, and I remember I got an audition early on when I finally got some representation in that industry. And, I think Deadpool 2... Cable. I read for Cable and in my head...'Boy, I was gonna be Cable,'" said Randy Orton [From 34:14 to 34:32]

Now, given Orton's look, there is no denying that he would have made an incredible Cable. Unfortunately, Fox had other plans and decided to hand the role to veteran actor Josh Brolin.
Randy Orton has stared in his fair share of Hollywood flicks
While Randy Orton may not have the Hollywood resume of superstars like The Rock, Hulk Hogan, or John Cena, he actually has been in a few films. The Legend Killer, who stands at 6ft 5in, has appeared in a total of five movies.
His first-ever movie was way back in 2011 when he played the role of Ed Freel in "That's What I Am." Following that, Orton was the star of two action blockbusters, "12 Rounds 2: Reloaded" and the 2016 film, "The Condemned 2." The Viper also starred alongside several other current and former WWE superstars like Nic Nemeth (fka Dolph Ziggler), Kane, and Miro (fka Rusev) in the movie "Countdown."
Orton's latest Hollywood appearance was in 2019 when he played a small role in the comedy film "Changeland." It would be great to see him in more movies, and perhaps there is a chance we will see him on the big screen again in the future. But, at the moment, The Viper is focused on winning his 15th World Title as he set to take on Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship at Bash in Berlin.
