Who faces the big four upon their return?
I guess I am in the minority. The recent results from WWE have me excited about what is to come. The fact there appears to be a new direction of talent, a new course of leadership – at least on television – and a champion who is being pushed by a guy who is making the slow turn toward heeldom. You cannot fault the company for trying new things and you certainly cannot fault fans for leaving a product they have been let down by over and over again.
Welcome to a new day of WWE and welcome to changes on the horizon. While the most discussed news of the past week was the release of several mid-level superstars on the roster and the budding romance of Paige and Alberto Del Rio, Vince McMahon announced that four of his top veteran stars, John Cena, Bray Wyatt, Randy Orton and Seth Rollins, will all return within the next month from injury.
Business just picked up, as Jim Ross would say. While this company still needs veterans to balance the roster, especially Wyatt and Rollins, the growth of Kevin Owens and others has made a believer out of me. I hope their returns doesn’t mean a retraction of progression. And with their returns, which programs work best for all of them? Here’s a look at who would be the ideal opponent for them when they return.
