Who is Stephanie Vaquer? All you need to know about WWE's next rumored superstar
Stephanie Vaquer is a name that few know in the WWE Universe. However, rumors are suggesting that she could be the next big WWE Superstar. Under the leadership of Triple H, the company has brought in a wide array of talent, and Vaquer could be the newest recruit. But who is she exactly? And, what has she achieved in the pro wrestling world?
Born in San Fernando, Chile, Stephanie Vaquer is one of the top talents in the pro wrestling business. With over 15 years of experience inside the squared circle, she honed her skills under the tutelage of Ricky Marvin, Ultimo Guerrero, Gran Apache, and Vilano IV. But, while she has been performing since 2009, her big break came in 2018, when she broke onto the international scene.
Her rise to stardom came in Japan, where she ironically made a name for herself with World Wonder Ring Stardom. From there, she continued to grow, performing in Mexico with Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre, and New Japan Pro Wrestling. She has even made appearances in the UK and the USA for Revolution Pro Wrestling and AEW respectively.
Now, it would seem as though WWE is knocking on Stephanie Vaquer's door. Granted, this isn't the first time she's been linked with the Stamford-based promotion, as she tried out for the company way back in 2018. However, while the rumor mill swirls, the fans will just have to wait and see if she answers the call.
Stephanie Vaquer became a household name after confronting Mercedes Mone
While her accomplishments in CMLL and NJPW are commendable, Stephanie Vaquer really started making the rounds in mainstream media after her appearance in AEW. In particular, her confrontation with AEW TBS Champion, Mercedes Mone.
This all began on the May 29, 2024 episode of Dynamite. Shortly thereafter, Vaquer made her in-ring debut for AEW. It was exactly a month later at Collision that she took on the feisty and uber-talented Lady Frost. However, Vaquer dispatched her with ease, as the real challenge was Mone. Both women would later clash at AEW/NJPW Forbidden Door, where Mone came out on top.
To have a talent like Vaquer in WWE would be nothing short of incredible. While there will be questions regarding the method of her introduction, there can be no denying she would be a hit with the WWE Universe. Be it in NXT or the main roster, Vaquer will undoubtedly find success.
