The year 2018 is about to end, and every wrestling fan is aware of the fact that 2018 has proven to be an underwhelming year for WWE, in terms of ratings, viewership, and talent injuries - 2018 proved to be one of the darkest years in the history of WWE.

The only reason behind this tragedy was poor booking of matches and the poor storylines of rivalries throughout the year. WWE completely failed to utilise their talents in 2018, and got an alarming response from the WWE Universe.

On this week's Monday Night Raw, the McMahon family themselves admitted that they have done a lot of mistakes in 2018 which led to the result of lowest ever ratings and viewership in the history of the company.

They promised big changes in 2019, and also promised the fans to give them what they want, and during the TV tapings of both WWE Raw and WWE SmackDown Live, every WWE fan observed a change.

An extremely talented guy like Tyler Breeze was given a title shot on WWE Raw, and on SmackDown Live, Gallows & Anderson as well as Sanity were given proper TV time to make their presence felt in the tag team division.

These moves by WWE Creative on both brands clearly showed that WWE has started to listen to its fans, and in future they will surely give fans the kind of matches they want.

With more fans happy in 2019 due to their favourites getting a push, it will eventually mean better business, and more profit for WWE in 2019. If WWE had understood this before, instead of constantly pushing same superstars, again and again, the results of WWE's ratings in 2018 would have been pretty much different.

But none of that matters now, as the company looks forward to improving their ratings in 2019 at any cost. It might take some time to adjust and to rethink their plans for 2019, but the progress of Raw and SmackDown this week clarified that WWE officials are ready to change their mindset.

There will be a balanced superstar push, rather than pushing same talent back to back, and it will eventually result in a much improved response from the WWE Universe, thus giving the company the much-needed better rating and viewership in 2019.
